Rotoworld "Bortles seemed to panic when the Giants brought heavy pressure"

Denard Robinson rushed six times for 19 yards and also secured one catch for seven yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Giants.

Robinson was met by brick walls on most of his carries. His longest gain went for just seven yards. It looked like he had a sure touchdown at one point but Blake Bortles didn't put enough mustard on the throw and Jon Beason swatted it away at the last second. Robinson enjoyed a few weeks of fantasy success last year but a repeat performance is unlikely now that T.J. Yeldon is carrying the mail.

They obviously never watched Blaine Gabbert during his time as Jaguars QB. Panicking to the point where he'd just sack himself.

No pain, no gain.

DRob looked good as well IMO. He was popping off 4 yard runs back to back and finishing them in the process. The writers at Rotoworld are obviously having a hard time keeping up with all the games around the league tonight.

He did the perfect fetal position pose. Surprised planned Parenthood didn't get a hold of him.

Allen Robinson struggles vs the Giants

Robinson dropped nearly everything thrown to him in tonight's game. He failed to consistently get open vs New York's 3rd string corners, although it doesn't matter much when the woefully inept Blake Bortles is playing QB. Robinson did have a lucky catch for 37 yards and a 20 yard gain on what clearly should have been offensive pass interference. Don't count on Robinson to catch any passes this season, and avoid him like the AIDS in all fantasy draft formats.

I hope this is a joke. He had one honest drop. I didn't know DRC was a 3rd string corner? And LOL at the inept Blake Bortles... he looked better than Eli.

Quote:When did he "panic" when pressured?

I don't recall any panic out of him. They said it was on third down, so let's see here...

The Jaguars converted 5 of 8 third down situations with Blake at qb, so let's focus on the three they didn't convert:

<p style="margin-left:40px;">-On the first drive with 11:29 on the clock, Bortles lined up in shotgun and had a sack-fumble that Wiz recovered for no gain. D. Moore forced the sack-fumble and tackled Wiz. This led to a 52-yard FG by Scobee.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">-On their second long drive with 5:22 on the clock, Bortles in shotgun threw an inclomplete short pass to the right toward Hurns. This led to a 38-yard FG by Myers.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">-On their third drive 11:46 on the clock in the 2nd quarter, Bortles in shotgun threw and incomplete short pass to the left toward ARob. This led to a 49-yard FG by Myers.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">

Does anyone recall if Bortles seemed to panic on any of these three plays?

Nope. I know for a fact that last pass to AROB was a drop

They have to be talking about the sack fumble.

Roto always talks trash about us. It's powered by NBC, what do you expect.

So that tells me that they saw 2 plays and decided that was enough to write this sorry piece.
