Property records are public domain. If he truly want's to be incognito he would have his agent or family member buy the house in their name.
OTOH, I've never lived on the beach but have had 2 friends who did and after a year they hated it. Said you can't really sit out on the porch or leave the windows open to feel the sea breeze because of the sand intrusion. They also said the non-stop continuous wind gets annoying after a while. Quote:In Duval County, the property appraisers site will give you the address of anyone that owns property in the county. It's not a top secret, can't find out without an inside source kind of thing. Quote:Property records are public domain. If he truly want's to be incognito he would have his agent or family member buy the house in their name. I understand that property records are freely available as are many other records. I just don't agree with publishing such information on a public website/forum. What if I published such information regarding anyone that posts on this forum? Would that be acceptable? Would said users be alright with that? To go along with your friends Chiefjag, I personally would not want to live at or near the beaches. I would rather have a bit of solitude and quiet. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

What if I published such information regarding anyone that posts on this forum? Would that be acceptable? Would said users be alright with that? It's already publicly available, though. I get what you're saying, but I guess I don't see the harm in posting something that a crazy stalker wouldn't know how to find anyway. Quote:Also, the salt air is pretty bad for your car or truck. You have to wash your vehicle pretty often. It's not just your car and truck. It's electronics and appliances as well. My mother has lived in beachfront condos on and off for well over a decade, and she went through TVs every three years or so because the moist, salty air corroded the circuits. I live in a nice, quiet rural area, and could personally never give up that atmosphere anymore. Well, aside from the fact that I'm giving it up at the end of September to move out, but the spike in home values here since we moved in, plus a job that came up in a different part of the country, make it all but impossible to pass up on the opportunity to sell.
Modest? Some of you would consider this modest? Geez, I guess I'm easily impressed because I think it unbelievably beautiful! It's literally right in front of the ocean. He's also 23 freaking years old!

Quote:That kitchen is horrible though. I'd rip that out and replace it if I were him. Quote:Nice house. If I were his financial advisor, I'd have suggested he buy a $500k-750k condo on the beach instead, then save the big, multi-million dollar house for when he proves he's a top-ten QB and gets that huge second contract. Safer bet in terms of making the money he earns now last him for the rest of his life. If if if. If y'all were NFL QBs, you could do it the way you want it. The breeze gets old. The salt hurts vehicles and electronics. Iwoulda moved on 100 acres in Yulee. Man is Bortles one big dummy or what. Barely 20 some years old and buys this dump with crappy kitchen with too much breeze and salt air. Hopefully he reads this MB and realizes his screw up. Whew.

He's also 23 freaking years old! My thinking is, it's called "modest" because it's not the "mansion" that people envision a wealthy person buying or owning. My personal opinion, it's a nice house but I am not fond of the location. However, that's just me. Put that house in say Clay county and I would bet that the price is easily half if not less. Also, just my opinion, I really wouldn't care to own such a house. The wine cellar is pretty cool, but other than that, I can't say that it would be something that I would want to buy. People have different tastes and different needs. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Quote:I had to be looking at a different house. Well in my opinion, it's not a huge house at 2500 square feet. It's a 3 bedroom 3 bath home with some nice touches, but nothing that I would call beyond modest. It sits on less than 1/4 acre which is around the "average" size residential plot of land. What drives the cost of the home up is certainly the location (beach front). Take a look at one of the other homes featured on that page. There is a home located in Ponte Vedra that is bigger (almost 3200 square feet) and is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home that is selling for less than half the price. I certainly would call either home modest when compared to other homes that some players have bought. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Well, that's what that location will get you and to me, it's plenty big and I think beautiful! Yes, if he lived in Green Cove Springs he would have an over the top gold encrusted staircase with a bowling alley on the 4th floor, but Blake is a Florida boy and of course beach front is not modest no matter how you slice it...... I'm not even a beach lover, btw
Yes, yes, the beach is terrible. You should all go somewhere else.
