Colts Vs Philly

They traded back their second round pick into the 3rd. Both third rounders look like depth picks with D'Joun presumably intended to replace/provide leverage against Greg Toller going into his contract year. It's a textbook "stand pat" move.
3rd-6th round rookies shouldn't be seeing a ton of non-injury snaps on a team that wants to be a SB contender. They certainly don't seem likely to fix giving up 51, 45, 42, 42, 31 and 30 points per game - giving up 30+ points 6 times in the season is pretty dangerous. By way of reference, the Jags also suffered 6 thirty-point games, the Titans 5 and the Texans 4. Doing something isn't the same thing as fixing something, certainly not for a team that considers itself ready for a championship. If it was then the Texans wouldn't have a QB problem because they drafted a guy in the 4th last season.
Quote:Colt fans will probably suggest that they're running a vanilla defense, but in reality Pagano is very uncreative. As a defensive HC, his lackadaisical scheme is shameful. I also remember Pagano wanting to run the ball. Fission Mailed. Did not like that he pulled Luck before completing the drive either. Wouldn't surprise me to see them pulling starters near the end of the regular season, entering the postseason cold. I don't see the Colts pushing for the Championship. They seem perfectly content cakewalking through the easiest division in sports then laying an egg in the playoffs. Luck is capable of winning the Super Bowl, but not until they fire Pagano, get rid of Irsay, and address their rungame Yea, the owner is really holding Andrew Luck back from achieving greatness. Quote:The Colts looked really bad. However, the starting CB V. Davis didn't play and neither did the starting nickle back, D. Butler. On offense, T.Y. didn't play, and neither did Moncrief, Frank Gore, or Boom Herron. So basically, the #1 and #2 receivers didn't play and neither did the team's #1 and #2 RBs or the #1 CB.No more comments after you stated the obvious. Interesting.
Years ago I made the mistake of drawing any sort of conclusion about teams during the preseason. Never again.
