I have nothing personal against him, as some have against Brady and the Pats.

 

I defended Goodell as others criticized him for years.

 

No longer, as the evidence as swung my opinion the other way.

 

It has nothing to do with like/dislike, it's about poor leadership and faulty decision making.  His is a pattern that isn't getting better.  It's in fact getting worse.

 

Believe what you wish by all means, it's everyone's right.  But let's not stick our head in the sand and pretend he hasn't fumbled on nearly every major decision.

 

When you compare him to Pete Roselle and Paul Tagliabue, he doesn't come close to measuring up.  Neither [BLEEP] the bed as he has on so many occasions.

If there's anything I've learned about politics (and this is indeed a political exercise) is that if you can delay and procrastinate, you will.


The judge said no later than Friday. I would be shocked if a decision comes before then.

That's one of the biggest flaws in Goodell's lack of objectivity.  There's no consistency to his investigations or rulings.  They have the appearance of being arbitrary based on public sentiment.  The tail wagging the dog.  Some investigations appear to be token in nature, just to check a box that he "looked into the situation," and other times (such as this) appear to be little more than a witch hunt after he didn't find what he wanted to find.
