I really doubt that. Even if he did pursue reinstatement, it would be with the idea that an NFL team would take advantage/be taken advantage of by him. He doesn't strike me as the type that loves football enough that he's willing to go play for poutine in Canada just to break back into the NFL.

I do a lot of driving in between Jax and South Fl. I've grown to dislike the folks from Quebec...a lot. The ones from Montreal aren't bad, but they're not good, either.

Anyone else just hoping this Blackmon thing ends already, one way or another?

I'm physically tired of being enabled to speculate on it because, as a Jaguars fan, I can't not speculate on it.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Jaguars are petty as hell. Blackmon is indefinitely a Jaguar. If we win a Superbowl in the next 5 years, Blackmon gets a ring.

why are they petty?  They used a first rounder on him.  They would have to release him then NFL reinstate before he can go to Canada.  So in the meantime of them releasing him and him getting reinstated he signs with another NFL team and the Jags get jack for him.  I wouldn't give in either.

How does this make them petty? Blackmon signed a contract to play football for the Jaguars. He was given a ton of money in return for his services. In exchange for that investment, he's provided the team with roughly a season of actual playing time, multiple suspensions (including an indefinite one) and more headaches than anyone cares to count. If Blackmon is reinstated and I was David Caldwell, I'd tell him that if he wanted to play in Canada, he could pay me back the pro-rated amount of his signing bonus (and any other guarantees paid to him, excluding salary) in return for his release.

What's that you say? He doesn't have that money anymore? Tough. If he couldn't quit drinking/smoking/being stupid for a few years in order to make an obscene amount of money, then that's his problem, and the Jaguars have every right to protect their investment by making sure he doesn't go off to Toronto, blow out a knee, then argue (successfully) that the Jaguars can't sue him for his bonus money because they allowed him to play in the CFL in the first place.

Wait till he finds out they don't smoke it; they boil it and pour it over pancakes.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

I am amazed that SOME investigative journalism of the smallest kind cannot get a legit quote or something from him. They get quotes from josh Gordon, follow Ricky Williams half way across the planet, but we cannot know whether this guy is on the continent.
