You missed the golden era of yahoo sports with Jason Cole, Chris Chase, there was another hack that I'm forgetting.  Where you'd skip the articles and come for the hilarious comments.

I rewatched the game from Friday on tv last night. After the TD, they had a shot of the WRs jumping and celebrating. Our 'mascot' was standing there up against the back wall mildly clapping. Like he was slightly entertained. Kinda. He's terrible.

I'm really hoping they've just been using some guy in the promotions department to put on the suit, and that this isn't the new guy already taking over.  If this is the new guy already on the field, after 2 preseason games, it's clear they should probably just kill Jaxson DeVille off all together.  If what we've seen so far is an indication of what is to come, a cardboard cutout could do the same thing.  He's been almost invisible.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'm hoping the first two games were live interviews and both were told " not a chance " don't call us we will call you. if that person is the hire it's a fail.

At one point in the second half, the dude stood in the northeast corner end zone for probably 20 minutes.

Probably taking a smoke break in the suit.

If those were auditions, they better keep on looking because they've lost one of the best mascots in the league with this change.

A good businessman invests in things that he has determined will be worthy of his money.  Khan has more than $1 billion tied up in investments here in the city of Jacksonville.  If his intention was to just bide his time until he could land his team in a better market, the amount of money he's spending in the meantime has been a major boom to the city.  For some idiot reporter to use his business acumen as some sort of justification as to why Khan is going to be open to moving the team to San Diego, that reporter would have to ignore the sheer amount of money Khan is spending here.

Khan spent 3/4 of a billion just to buy the team.  He is prepared to invest at least  half a billion into developing the Shipyards.  He's got at least another $50 - 100 million that he has invested in current or future stadium upgrades that weren't financed by the city.  He's invested millions in multiple businesses and real estate ventures locally.  He's promoted the city overseas and helped to procure new business development worth tens of millions in tax revenue to the city.  None of this sounds like a guy just biding his time waiting for a better deal.  Of course, I'm no journalist.

I guess if I was, I'd see EverBank and somehow deem it to be the 4th worst stadium in the league.  I'd see the small television market and determine that the league would want that revenue going to Miami instead of Jacksonville.  I'd see a Cuban population in Orlando and just assume they're Dolphin fans (because there are no other NFL teams closer to Orlando than Miami).

The fact is, the Orlando market has never been targeted by the Jaguars in the manner it has been since Khan took over as owner.  They're marketing down there.  They've identified media partners to help promote the team, and to build a fan base in the area.  It's reaping results for the Jaguars, but we won't bother to quibble over facts when we can just make blanket assumptions that everyone in the state of Florida hates the Jaguars, and that they'd be better off moving to a town that doesn't really support the team they have, and is unwilling to build a facility to keep them in San Diego.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Quote:Now its all about getting attention, clicks, and followers. This one is only because Kahn had originally tried to buy St Louis team before Wayne approached him about Jaguars. Kahn is not going to sell the team unless local fans do not buy tickets after team starts winning regularly. Even then I think he would give it at least 10 years past the time when Jags start winning. Even Johnny O has alluded to this a few times when people asked questions about moving rumors. Ticket sales and pricing will go up when we start winning. IMO Jags are not going anywhere because when we start winning regularly ticket sales will go up just like before when Jags were winning. IMO for the same reason the London game is not going away because it brings in 15% revenue and each of the other games only bring in 9.4%. If Everbank revenue per game goes up then London game will go away. The NFL is a business and Khan is a very good "bidness man"
I respectfully disagree with this in one sense: the fans are no longer on trial. After these last three dismal seasons, no one should ever again question this area's passion for its team. The offense has struggled, the defense has struggled, but the fan support has been outstanding, averaging 60k for a 67,000 seat stadium.  No other team in NFL history has started out 0-7 for THREE YEARS IN A ROW, and yet this team still sells tickets.  Watching the Jags over the last three years has been like watching a baby seal get clubbed--painful.  Still ticket sales rise. Anybody can support a winning team. Put the Colts in Omaha or Des Moines and they'll sell out.  Jacksonville has moved beyond that. Miami wouldn't offer the same kind of support under similar circumstances, and neither would Tampa Bay.  So all you folks who attended games, thank you.  Give yourself a big round of applause.

Yawn...they have nothing better to talk about.  We have the biggest HD boards in the entire world with swimming pools at our stadium.  Why would they move to a dump like St. Louis?

Not to mention our apparent franchise QB is from UCF.
Only a chump boos the home team!

If the Rams move that makes two teams they've lost and their ticket sales are regularly below Jacksonville.  *If* the Jags were interested in moving, why move there?

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Lets just say Khan did decide to move the team. Why the heck would he move it to STL? How would that increase the franchise' value 400M as Cole states? This makes no sense.

I will say. The constant speculation is exhausting. I wish we would just become a contender already so people would stop talking about this junk.

They wouldn't.  Why move from beautiful FL to a place like St. Louis?
