The Great, Big Joeckel Thread (merged threads)

I wouldn't even think of moving Parnell. He's been dominate as a RT. It seems like the whole line has become a really good unit aside from Joeckel. I'd rather cross my fingers and hope Luke continues to develop before adding and moving around players already comfortable in their roles.

Quote:Joeckel has not graded higher in any game. They tied with a -1.7 the first week.
Oh, that's right. My bad. People were confused about that because Parnell played great, but that was Joeckel's weakest night of the three.

hate to say it cuz ive had his back.  loved it when we picked him.  he would be great at falg football cuz he is all finesse.  then when some good rushers have his outside shoulder hes iin trouble.  still a lil bit of a fan but wathcing him makes me think he is what he is.  an oversized tight end.  pumped up to his potential in college.

You didn't say anything wrong. I agree with you 100%. Joke is meant for the National Flag Football League (NFFL). Its similar to the NFL, but it has two F's. Just like the two F's I give him for his performance.

He's been, well dissapointing, but where do we turn if he ultimately fails early in the season?

Free agency?

Bowanko making a rough position change?

Trade?

What could we do?

Quote:PFF did not rate Joeckel better than Parnell.

Joeckel has a cumulative grade of -3.9 (-3.4 pass blocking) this preseason,

while Parnell has a grade of -1.4 (+0.6 pass blocking)
Now watch those all important PFF rankings become pointless now that it doesn't prove anyone's point.

Quote:Parnell is seen as a stud, and Joeckel is seen as having been playing "poorly."

Yet Joeckel has graded better in performances.

Seems like perception is poorer than Joeckel's play.

Irony being, some are wrong while being desperate to be "right" about a guy.
So wait... After finding out your claims about Joeckel grading out better than Parnell are horse [BLEEP].....

Who's the one who is " wrong while desperate to be right" again?

Look at the film that Lageman put on our LT, then shut up. He gave an unbiased opinion and showed how the guy did good, and what he did bad. Sure technically he's in his 3rd year but has not been able to get all the attention and time put in due to injury and position switch.

The fact of the matter is, he's still in the developmental phase, still working on perfecting his craft. Sure from a current standpoint I'd agreee, he is not at a good level right now but it's not the end all, be all.

I myself chuckle at my own jokes. I don't need the mic to be on.

Being dominate is pretty tough to do to!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Talk about excuses...

So do you really think Joeckel is playing well or is this just "support"?

It seems like you try really hard to convince everybody that players on the team not playing well are playing well.  Until such a time the team management cuts said players, then they "suck".  Seems like an irrational way of looking at things.

No, we ignore facts around here and go solely with our predisposed, unfounded opinions.
