Quote:John Lotulelei looked better imo, George will probably end up on the PS.

I'm not a fan of Sam Young but I think he looked better at LT than he did at RT. Hopefully Bowanko will become our swing tackle fast!

If it came down to who was the better LT between Paz and Young, then most definitely Young was the correct choice.

Not too surprised at Marshall making it, Dave has shown with DRob (and Shatley kinda) that he loves a good project . Marshall will probably be inactive for at least 8 games but I'd expect him to be competing for a spot in the second half of the season.

He could become a 4 core special teamer. He showed he's not afraid to hit playing gunner and he has some return skills as well.

Maybe, if he's not returning and not ready to play corner I'm not sure it's worth wasting a gameday spot on him though. I like Greene and Grant as the returns guys over Marshall right now.

As I look upon his playing history, I didn't realize that he initially played CB from the beginning. It was when he transferred to which he was switched to the QB position. Now if he's an True Corner and Caldwell and Bradley recognizes this, then his spot on the 53 man roster is warranted to say the least...

I have no problem with him being on the 53, just think he'll be inactive on gamedays. He was a corner but he's been a corner for a couple of years so to expect him to come into the NFL and play corner after barely 4 pre-season games is very ambitious.

I'm so glad Pasztor is gone. Not big fan of Young. I'd like to see us pick up a pass rusher and OT off waivers.

Understood but what should also be understood is that Caldwell and Bradley thinks that much of him to place him on the 53 man roster. They didn't want to risk loosing him off of the practice squad. I know not the inside scoop, All I know is that I trust the decision makers w/respect to the 53 man roster...

George was horrible in the Washington game. He is AWFUL in pass coverage.

Didn't they say Hood had plantar fasciitis?!

Injured reserve for that?

I'm thinking it is another building year this year.  When I look at the roster and cuts, it is better than last year but man we got holes.  This team needs more draft picks, better free agents available and unfortunately more fan patience.  I'm betting it will be defensive step back this year with baby steps on the offense.

Gonna be an interesting and long year with feisty fan emotions.

I guess Marshall is a "jar on the shelf" kind of guys. Same thing Shatley was last year.

Let's see if keeping these "jars" actually pays off in some way sometime soon.

It's year 3 of a defensive coach's era.... He better get this defense in the top 20 AT LEAST or else what the hell did we hire a defensive minded coach for?

I'm being realistic.  I think our linebackers are okay with one solid guy, a weak player and a guy with big upside potential.  At safety, I just don't know.  I'm not sure how much pressure our defensive line will generate and this is the first year in awhile that I can see us being gashed in the running game consistently.

I wish we had more talent on the roster.  I'm being realistic.  This is an improving roster but not sure we will see bunches of wins this year.  I'm not sure it will be the Coaching staff's "fault".  And you can be a defensive minded coach and just not have the talent you need to do what you want.

Considering it can take months to heal, yes.

We have seven new starters from the first game of the 2014 season to the 2015 season. Even though two of those starters were on the team at the time. The D will take time to gel. I honestly believe that if Healthy, our D would be second to none but injuries are in effect...
