Kam Chancellor on the trade block?

#21

Quote: Here's an opinion question for you or anyone else that wants to offer input. If the Seahawks said they would do the deal if the Jags put James Sample in the deal instead of J. Cyprien, would you make the trade?

That's tough. I'd say no considering we want Sample to be our FS answer not SS. Would be a tough choice though. Might depend on what other compensation they want (draft picks)
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

I agree it's a tough choice.  Yet,  it wouldn't surprise me if the Seahawks would prefer James Sample because he's much further away from Free Agency.  They could use this season to groom him and contribute on Special Teams.

Send Cyprien and a 3rd over to Seattle for Kam Chancellor.

Please.

Negotiations are at an impasse. Hawks can't afford to pay him. We can. Make it done.

I'd rather have Earl, but what the hey.

I don't think that would be enough. Cyprien doesn't have much value at the present.

Perhaps. But it gives them a body at the position and maybe they think they could do something with him.

They probably want a 2nd, 3rd, and Cyprien.

Yeah, I'm sure they would want the player that the guy who developed Kam would be giving up on. I'm sure that sounds like winner to their ears.

Why trade away a valuable pick and player for someone who will most likely be a free agent at the end of the year? You don't overpay for someone like that because they are trying to get rid of him. They either gonna have to pay him or let him test FA because they need to resign Irvin, Kam and Okung. And can only Franchise Tag 1. So the post lacks irrelevance. But one can only dream I suppose.

Any trade would be contingent on Kam getting a deal.

We don't strike gold with those picks anyway... we can get a staple at SS and reunite him with Gus. Pay him he would look good in black and teal.

No pain, no gain.

I read he has like 3 years left on his current contract.

I thought the whole point of his holdout was to get his current contract, which he is stuck in for a few more years, redone.

I believe the only way he would be a FA next year is if Seattle cuts him, which I think is extremely unlikely.

If he could be had for those low picks people are foolishly suggesting, he would already be a giant.

I'd be all for it.

I'm talking about a second round pick and maybe that 6th rounder we got with Scobee. Whatever it takes. I think it's the weakest position on the team aside from LT at this point.

No pain, no gain.

Safety is a position that has been rapidly developing for us. If they believe that they have some guys that will develop into quality safeties, the FO isn't going to use that high of a pick for Kam.

I would cry tears of happiness and beer.
