LOL. I bet Bortles is a better QB then Newton this year. Newton since his rookie year has dropped in passing yards every year. If you think Cam Newton is going to take you to the super bowl, you are in it for the long run. I rather have the Jags lose a couple seasons and be a dominant team in the future then have Newton sneak into the playoffs with a 7-8-1 record. I'm surprised the Panthers won the last 4 games or your record would be just like ours.

I think it is natural for hope to spring eternal for NFL fans. After all, any team can win on any given Sunday and there are almost always surprise NFL teams. Notwithstanding this, the Jaguars have only won 5 games in the last two seasons and won only 12 games in the last 4 seasons. That is a trend.

This is probably the dumbest thing I've read all week. You and many other people have been fed by the media that Bortles was a turnover machine, and is the second coming of Blaine Gabber 2.0. The guy had the worst offensive line in the league, and had no more than three seconds to do anything. He was thrown in as a rookie even though he thought he'd be sitting the majority of the season, and we had probably the worst offensive coordinator this franchise has ever seen, which of course didn't help him one bit. You would've had to watch all of his games last year to see the flashes and potential that he has. The issues he had last season were addressed this off-season. He looked VERY good in pre-season, and has every talent you want in your franchise QB. Now we sit here and wait for the season to play out and then we'll know for sure.

If it really makes you happy to come to a bottom feeding team's message board to talk up your mediocre team, then more power to you. You may even think this is "the year" for the Panthers. Hint: it is not. The Panthers and their QB are as mediocre as it gets, and will be lucky to make the playoffs again unless everybody in that sorry division has a losing record.
