Bring on Carolina. The real season is finally upon us

Lets just say you'll never see Bortles be a little youknowwhat fighting a DB in practice over a pick or wearing a towel draped over his head on the sideline. He's a leader and sets the tone by example. You've seen Cam's ceiling while Bortles stock only ascends.

Quote:And you will be picking between 10-20 next year. Big whoop.

I've got to ask, do you honestly think the Panthers are a Super Bowl contender this year? You think you're going to go through Green Bay, Seattle, or Dallas with Philly Brown as your #1 WR? WRONG!!!!

It's funny, we crawled out of the basement in the mid 2000's long enough to be mediocre for a little bit while your team was starting Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen and picking top 10 every year. Only difference being is that none of us here felt the need to go over to your message board and crap on your team and brag about how awesome Byron Leftwich and David Garrard and our 8-8 team was. You are a sad individual. Go home. Your presence here is not necessary.

Burn, +1

ESPN writer Mike DiRocco has the Jaguars to win over Carolina Panthers

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 13, Carolina, 1 p.m.

I picked the Jaguars to win this game in April, and I feel even better about their chances now that the Panthers won't have WR Kelvin Benjamin (torn ACL). Carolina won the NFC South last season, but they were 7-8-1 in the worst division and had a playoff victory over an Arizona team that was without its starting running back and was on its fourth quarterback. Jaguars 27, Panthers 24. Record: 1-0.

How dare he! The Panthers have an elite defense thats enough to scare the NFL to immediately putting them in the Super Bowl and Cam Newton the MVP of the league.

LOL...  What??

If you are so thin skinned that you cannot handle someone saying that you are in denial then you should probably not troll another team's message board...

I'm not sure that calling out fans for thinking their QB isn't elite a silly or frivolous attack.  Get real...

As for Tom Cruise, it's called a metaphor...  Not too difficult if you paid attention in middle school...  See, I'm not calling fans of the panthers tom cruise running away from his sexuality.

Let me break it down:

Tom Cruise is Can't Newton fans

What you are running from is the hard reality that you QB is not elite...

Again, it's called a metaphor

It's not rocket surgery...  Seriously, if you cannot handle me saying you are in denial, why not go over to the My Little Pony message board and discuss how magical friendship is.

Lastly, FakePlasticTrees?  Really? I mean, if you're gonna go with a Radio Head song for your message board trolling, you gotta go with KarmaPolice.  I mean, duh...  No brainer...

I mean, it's a good song, but dude, using it just makes you look emo and lame...  But I guess it fits you, if you feel I was making a personal attack with my comments you're obviously a very sensitive little guy.  LOL...  Carry on...

It's the same, regurgitated, national media based crap in every reply. You have neither anything original nor slightly intelligent to contribute.

No one here is saying the Panthers are Super Bowl bound, we're saying we're good enough to beat the Jaguars.

But apparently you are an expert on the Jags and are not just regurgitating talking points from the National media. Thanks for coming here and educating us on the team we follow every day with your #FreshTakes.

Quote:I heard that Kaep has been getting some criticism...  I didn't know there was actual controversy!  You know the saying, the back up QB is the most popular player on the team...

I think that is true for every team except for the ones that have an HOF under center...  And any team that has Henne has their backup!  LOL

lol, Isn't that the truth.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:Brah, 6? Really? Newton to Olsen? Really? Do you really think that Olsen will get 75+ yards? Not to mention no WR's. This will be a much closer game then you anticipated. Vegas is really good at setting lines and your team is only favored by 3.5 points.

Warning you in advance that I am a Panther fan. Olsen is by far the greatest receiving threat we have and he will get his share of catches which will help keep the chains moving. Outside of that, WR is a question mark and I think the Jags D will try to limit Olsens impact. I will be surprised if this is more than a 1 score difference going into the final 6 - 8 minutes of the 4th. As a Panther fan, I believe the Panther D is the major difference and gets the best of Bortles in a late series when it counts.

Haven't checked the lines but would expect some money to come in late for the Jags.

Quote:That line is starting to change. As of this morning most of Vegas has moved to 3.0 points, and even a couple 2.5's are emerging.

The reason why the line changes is because there are so many people betting +3.5 that they have to drop it to 3 and 2.5 to get action on -3 and -2.5. I like how the public sees the Jags not losing by more than 3 or just winning outright.

Panther Defense is overrated. Last year you guys were garbage and ended up winning the last 4 games and 2 to your crappy division. If that defense was that great your team would have done better than 7-9-1. The Jaguars here are a much improved team, if Thomas wasn't injured Olsen wouldn't be crap because our tight ends would match up way better. We have a QB and have weapons to throw to. The only thing I'm worried about is running the ball on that front 7, its good not great. I see a close game with more field goals than touchdowns. Game is a throw up for me but would love to see my Jags win!

Can't argue about the NFCS stinking it up last year. If we had lost the final 4 games we would have had almost identical records (minus the tie). Olsen doesn't usuall match up against opposing TE (you are referring to Julius Thomas right) so I don't know how that would impact Olsen's production.

Agree that the Jags are making strides and are getting better but are in a tough division. I think you will at least double your win total from last year with 3 of them coming from beating the panties off Matt Ryan, Drew Bree's and Jameis Winston.

Panther Defense had some issues early on last year but settled late and was really the saving grace. There is some overlooked talent in the secondary but I am concerned with keeping them healthy.

I meant to say Thomas is much better than Olsen. Only team in the NFC South that should be a challenge will be the Saints and maybe Falcons. Bucs and Panthers should be games the Jags should win. Lets see, Sunday is close.
