Saw that too, his name is Derek Trucks. I don't listen to him, but apparently he's supposed to be one of the better guitarists around.

Season ticket holder. His uncle Butch was drummer and founding member for the Allman Brothers. He also bought the mixing board used to record the Kinks classic albums and put it in his Jacksonville studio for personal use.

Another bit of trivia is the young boy on the cover of the Allman Brother's album Brothers and Sisters is Derek Truck's son, Derek's cousin, Vaylor.

Derek Trucks was named to Rolling Stones list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, deservedly so.

I think RJ was "rolling" a bit too much when he penned that particular post.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

He's played with Clapton, Stevie Ray...you name it. His wife Susan, who is no slouch either was on the show as well.

I've seen both at Jag games.

He's ranked one of the best guitarists in the world.

Watching jam, and seeing him rockin a Jag shirt was classic.

Derek Trucks was once quoted as saying his inspiration is 60% Duane Allman, 40% Elmore James.

This is no commentary on Derek's ability, because he can certainly play, but the only thing sillier than a list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time is a list of 100 greatest guitarists of all time compiled by Rolling Stone magazine.
