Chris Clemons the Jags LEO

Quote:I am still sad about Fowler Jr., because most likely when he does come back next year (for all things that matter he is still kind of a rookie) and some players never come back a 100% after that injury.

Me too. Fowler wasn't the guy I wanted the Jags to take, but he's a jag, and I hope that he comes back 100%. I don't want us talking about what could have been had he never been hurt...Come back strong Fowler!!!

Quote:He came in truly out of shape this season. Even his pictures divulged this. Just think how productive he'd be if he went through the entire conditioning program. I hate to say this but barring an meltdown of other players, this may be his last season as an Jaguar. Caldwell won't put up w\his antics especially w\better talent on the roster...

Tighten Up Clemons...

NH3...

Plus, if Smith continues to develop, along with Davis, with Fowler back in the mix next year + incomers, space would be limited. Unless he gives us a huge last gasp in the coming months. I wish him well.
Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

I really hope to see Chris Clemons do great against Cam Newton and the Panthers in the limited time he gets to play,

Didn't Gus just say Clem will be starting at Leo this past Wednesday?

It's in the "First Off The Field" article.

Quote:He probably didn't even have an injury.

Probably just called Gus and said "you know I don't wanna be here, you know I don't wanna practice... I'll come to the meetings and what not, but I'm not practicing" so an injury was made up.

Vets do that kind of thing.

You could set your calendar to John Henderson faking an injury in training camp just to miss a week or two of practice.

Either that or Clem had some kind of "private" injury that's embarrassing to announce.
I thought it came out during camp that he was going through a divorce.

I'm sorry but that's not a good enough reason not to practice.

you're physically there anyway, so suit up and go play.

I've never personally been through a divorce, but It's not oncommon for people to have extreme difficulties going through the process.

Sorry if someones real life interferes with your desire to watch fooball.

I don't care about his divorce.  If that's the reason and the coaching staff is OK with it, that's fine.

Thing is, they said it was an unspecified injury.

It's always been some personal type of issue or injury they can't really discuss. My hunch is it's just a really severe case of depression that he's had a hard time dealing with since as a professional athlete he can't just go out and booze up or anything. If it is anything like that, hopefully he can channel his frustrations into action on game day.

Of course you don't care. You aren't the one going through the divorce.
