UCF @ Stanford.  Both need to bounce back from losses against bad teams.

Oklahoma at Tennessee could be interesting. But the Vols defense looked horrid against Bowling Green, so I am not sure if they will be able to stop the Sooners offense.

I tend to think Mississippi State takes a huge step back but I look forward to seeing Prescott.

Overall though, a really bad slate of games.

I noticed also that Oregon State plays at Michigan. Funny with Oregon at Michigan State right down the road that night.

Oklahoma vs Tennessee should be a defensive battle.. play the under. Watch for a blocked kick to swing this game in Tennessee's direction....

Down goes Boomer Sooner!!!!

This is going to be tough going out West to face a team coming off of a tough loss.

Stanford essentially had to play a 9am (PST) game last week considering the actual kickoff at Northwestern was 11am (CST).

Adding the Thursday night LaTech vs W Kentucky game since we'll get a chance to see Jeff Driskel in a different system under Skip Holtz

It's working.  I may have increased the ratings by 3 TV sets !!!  I get an ESPN commission of $0.05 per every 10 TVs.

I actually think it's a decent weekend.

UGA at Vandy - I'll be in Nashville this weekend.  Wouldnt be surprised if I dont even go in to the game.  We've got a pretty sweet tailgate spot and my buddy who competes in BBQ cooking competitions will be there with his grills going.  If it's close at halftime(which I dont think it will be), I'll probably head inside the stadium.  Otherwise I'll hang out with the food, flat screen, and beer.  And so much for global warming.  Gonna be in the high 60s most of the day.  Great tailgating weather!

other games....

Oregon at Michigan St - obviously the game of the week.  I like Mich St.

Oklahoma at Tennessee - Not sure what to think of Tenn.  If their defense shows up then I thikn theyll be tough to beat.  But even if the defense shows up, is it any good?

LSU at Miss St - LSU should be so good but who knows what is going on with the QBs.  Miles loves to recruit these dual threat guys lately but all they need is a game manager with modest mobility that doesnt turn the ball over.  Where is Matt Flynn or Matt Mauck when you need him?  I just cant imagine Miss St being anything more than a top 15-30 team.  Good enough to finish with 8 or 9 wins.  Can give a scare to a really good team but you dont expect them to finish the year atop the standings.

Boise St at BYU - Amazing win for BYU last weekend.  Too bad they lost Taysom Hill again.  if that guy could stay healthy, they could have gone undefeated(assuming upset of UCLA).  But unless this new kid is any good, they wont live up to their potential.  Regardless a game between arguably the best two non-Power 5 teams.

Notre Dame at Virginia - I dont believe Notre Dame is as good as last weekend.  UVA could give them a scare.

UCLA at UNLV - UCLA looked really good in week 1.  During the offseason UNLV hired Tony Sanchez from national high school power Bishop Gorman in las vegas.  Tough loss last week but I've heard really good things about his coaching ability.  He probably needs a couple years to recruit his plaeyrs but I'll be interested to see if htey can give UCLA a game.

Oregon St at Michigan - just curious to see how Harbaugh does.  No other reason.

Utah St at Utah - Is a surprisingly old rivalry.  Was reading early in the year the love for Utah St but probably tempered a bit after they struggled in week 1.

Iowa at Iowa St - CyHawk trophy.  Iowa St knocked off Northern Iowa in week 1.  Going for the state sweep.  I always like these rivalry games.  Teams usually play a lot harder.

LSU at Mississippi State.  The Tigers lost their warm-up game.  The Bulldogs lost their tape on the Tigers when LSU has tape on MSU.

Last year's game stung LSU as well, so it should be interesting to see how they play on the road.

Yep, turnovers have put this one seemingly out of reach. On another note, Miami's defense does look pretty weak this year though.
