I'd recommend rewatching the game and keying in on Joeckel.  It's a slight stretch to call him serviceable unless you mean he's a 300 lb ish body to have on the football field.  The Jags will have to address the position in the next off season or draft.

 

First off, I would NEVER recommend rewatching that game. Even once was too much.


 

Secondly, the Jags only gave up one sack while Joeckel was in, and that was to a blitzing LB, not Joeckel's responsibility. Joeckel certainly has room for improvement, but from what I've seen so far this season (and preseason) he's far from the worst LT in the NFL.

Yes, that same Chucky. He'd be my 1st choice. I named him because he still is available. And I'm sure he could easily get out of the ESPN deal if he wanted to coach again.


 

I don't know who else will be available after this season. Someone will probably turn up. After last season Jim Harbaugh was available (Jim Harbaugh!, one of the best recent head coaches), as were Ryan, Fox, and Kubiak. Maybe you wouldn't want some of them (and neither would I) but that at least shows that former NFL winning head coaches are available. The Jags missed several opportunities recently, Arians being the biggest miss IMO.

I honestly can't blame Caldwell. The dude is bringing in the talent. Like someone above said, we aren't seeing progestin or development. I expected Bortles will have another tough season. I saw improvement today, but that pick 6 shows me he needs to work a heck of a lot more in the film room

Didnt know much about Jason Meyers  but holy crap, we cut a proven vet for a rookie who sucked at kicking in college just cuz he had a big leg 

I thought he was just a good kicker in college who feel thru the cracks

I will give you Haubaugh, Even though he stated that he didnt even entertain offers from Any other nfl team. By looking at any of the other "opportunities, which one did you think that has experience turning around a bad team---- For example, Ryan went 6-10,8-8,and 4-12 from 2012 to 2014. by looking at his recent resume as a GM or owner--Do you seriously think he would have change things in Jax when he was on the decline in NJ?
