Considering that Terrell Suggs turns 33 next month,  the odds are against him to get back to his pre-injury form.   On top of that,  his leadership on the field will be missed by the Ravens this season.  That much more with the trade of Haloti Ngata back in March.

I'm not sure how much Jason Babin has left in the tank.  Yet,  surrounded by good players,   in a great organization,   it wouldn't surprise me if the decision works out on a short term basis.   Babin knows practically all of the tricks of the trade.   As a rotation player off the bench,  it's worth a shot by the Ravens.  Especially,  since his salary for the entire season isn't guaranteed.

When did anybody say the Jaguars would have drafted Terrell Suggs if they did not want Byron Leftwich? If you think about it, there really is no connection between those two guys, and yes I do know what happened in April 2003.

Now Ravens fans will be screaming they want Haloti Ngata back and that was a horrible trade because hindsight is 20/20. But I don't know how good he is as a linebacker anymore because a lot of players decline at age 33.
