I work at the marina Toby stores his boat at and i just talked to him about an hour ago.


Probably isn't anything too news worthy, but he told me that injury wise, he woke up in pain today, and that they think he has a hernia. I asked him questions about the Carolina game plan and stuff like that, I just don't really have time to type it out right now. I'll fill u in once I get off work.


Yes, I wanted to ask what the hell he was doing on a boat when he has a hernia, but he's pretty big, and I didn't feel like beating anyone up today.


Kidding, but seriously, if anyone wants me to ask him any questions ( Tasteful questions) I'll ask him the next time I see him.

The concern about that abdominal strain was the potential that it was, or would develop into a sports hernia that would require a much longer down time and surgery to repair.  Pretty sure being on a boat isn't going to aggravate anything at this point.  It is what it is.

I have no issue with Toby.  Seriously does everyone think the oline last year had 0 factor on his performance?  It isn't his fault he took a paycheck with a team that has a disastrous roster.  It is going to get better but this probably ain't the year.

Joking aside, I thought he was looking good as the "3rd down short yardage back" in pre season - something we sorely missed against the panthers.


If he's out for an extended period, that's a blow for the team. And his chances of being here next season.
