We are kindergartners

Okay, I can overlook the comment that BB% made........and maybe I can overlook his play, just a little longer.
It's time to show it Mr Bortles ........and not just in preseason. Be the QB you can be.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Quote:My questions to those upset or otherwise displeased with Bortles for his comments:personally I think his quote is pretty spot on. We aren't privy to what they're calling in the huddle and the progressions he is supposed to make. I also expect him to bounce back pretty nicely. Quote:My questions to those upset or otherwise displeased with Bortles for his comments: He is not throwing his coordinator under the bus with the play calling. Not sure what he should say as the reporter put him in a tough position. That said, the play calling sucked *** this weekend. It doesn't take great football knowledge to understand that. Dare I say a kindergartner might be able to see that? One of these years.............
I just hope we don't look like a college team this weekend.
Hey, I get it, odds of playing in the NFL are really long and the players that make it are really pretty good..or should be. Even the worst team has good players, just like nascar....very small gap between first and last in the starting field. But some find a way to win.........and some just can't. Comon Jags, I'm pulling for you but please....LOOK like an NFL team, even in a loss.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Hey Bortles, remember last year when the kindergartners were down on Fisch's playcalling? How'd that turn out?

Can we leave the personal insults behind for a while and get back to some semblance of topic, gents? Please, and thank you. We show less advertisements to registered users. Tell me...what blocking schemes and route combinations were used at the 7:49 mark of the first quarter? Against what front and coverage? What route combinations and blocking schemes SHOULD have been used instead? What formation should have been utilized instead of the one they used on that play? What are the reasons for your answers? Were there any possible non playcall related explanations for the play not working? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:i would have liked to see us be more aggressive after the Poz interception. That was the only big gripe I had other than getting away from the run too much. /Kindergartner out Or a homeless person telling an NFL owner who to draft.....wait....
The play calling was fine Sunday, dont fumble, dont miss kicks, dont throw pick 6, and catch the freaking ball, and we win the football game

Quote:The play calling was fine Sunday, dont fumble, dont miss kicks, dont throw pick 6, and catch the freaking ball, and we win the football game Yeah right. The play calling was predictable once again. I'm not surprised Bortles threw a pick 6, Olson seems to love screens and short out route passes. Annoying. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:But what is this based upon? Damn right the end results. I'm sorry that I'm just an IDIOT fan that doesn't know a freaking thing about football. I do know that we had ONE good drive the entire game. I also know we abandoned the running game in the 2nd half...a running game, mind you, that was successful in the first half and the Panthers were missing their MLB. I'm not going to say I could call the plays, but I can make the observation that the play calls sucked. If that was good play calling, call me the queen of England. One of these years.............

Bubble screens are the best, most unstoppable play in football. Call a bubble screen in any situation and the defense will be on their heels. Bubble screens have the added bonus of opening up the quick 5 yard out routes that are impossible for DBs to sit on. I am so glad we got rid of Dead Fisch and his college offense so we could hire Greg Olsen and his 32nd ranked offense because all the plays are the same. Continuity is the key.
Make the Jags Great Again
Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED!
Judging by the amount of tears in this thread, he hit the nail on the head.
The "comebacks" to him are the icing on the cake. Its a sure sign that that person is upset and is EXACTLY the person(s) he was talking about. ![]()
Knowing the x's and o's on a message board isn't going to put wins in the win column, so who gives a damn..

Just because fans don't know every detail and intricacy, we can look at the situation and realize that it isn't being done right. If you thought the play calling was good, you must have been watching a different game. Yeah, we had drops...guess what? The Panthers dropped a couple TD's and had another one called back by penalty. To say that we're a couple of drops away from winning? Not so fast. We were outclassed by the Panthers who aren't even that good.
Let's bow down to the superior knowledge and ability of our coaching staff. They definitely know what they're doing. It's just that you can't see the improvement...it's there....right. One of these years.............
Listening to Jim Rome right now and he's drilling Bortles for the kindergartner comment. lol

I didn't call you an idiot fan. I didn't say you don't know anything about football. I only make two assertions for the purposes of this discussion: 1. Play calling is not the only reason an offense succeeds or fails, and may not even be the main reason. Defensive coaches call plays. If the offensive and defensive coaches call equally good plays for the down and distance, what happens then? 2. There is far more to game planning and play calling than most fans, including myself, think or realize. To me, is there an argument to be made that the team abandoned the run too soon? Sure. If it comes from a fan like us, might it be as informed an argument as the players on the team or the coaching staff? No...probably not. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

It's one of three reasons. We have bad players, bad coaching, and bad execution. It's the ultimate trifecta of suck. One of these years.............
