I still find it strange how you cheer on the sec like it is one of your teams. The ACC is what it is in football. I don't worry about how good the conference is as a whole. All FSU can do is control FSU and how they play against their opponents. That's it. If you want to wear your SEC shirt from here on out and beat your chest about how good your conference is instead of your team, then be my guest.


Clemson is legit. Miami isn't. They are getting better, but still have a ways to go. It isn't easy to blow out every team you face. It isn't easy to go on the road in death valley and hand a team their worse home loss of all time. Is it easy to run the table? No, but easier then other divisions? Sure. FSU is legit regardless of how good or bad their conference is.

This is more of an anti-FSU argument. I'm not cheering for all SEC teams. I'm a mild Gator fan. I'm not trying to say that Florida is good, but if they played in the ACC, they would probably be a 2 loss team.


I'm also just stating the fact that FSU plays in a joke conference. That is probably why they look so good. Are they good? Ya. Are they as good as you and most others say they are? No. As I said, they don't deserve to play for a title game when they are hardly ever tested. Play a real schedule for once in your life, FSU. Hey, get a real conference. They wouldn't want that though, cause then they might lose some games. Better to stay in the ACC and beat up on everybody.


If they played quality opponents on a weekly basis, they would not be blowing people out every week.

I'm all for making college football more competitive in general. Making 4 super conferences and have 16 team playoff. But right now, it is what it is. Personally, I'd rather all games be competitive and probably why I'm a bigger NFL fan then college fan, but we play in the conference we play and all we can do is win by as many points as possible. You can whine about our conference and who we play, but at the end of the day, if we win out we will be playing for the Title. And if that happens we will find out just how good FSU is.

Clemson beat a UGA team that had all of their players ...how did UF do against UGA????????????? A UGA missing many key players???????

So maybe 4th in the ACC....maybe! I am not sure the Gators could beat VT

I'm not sure how people forget about the Gurley loss. I've seen that on this thread over the course of 5-6 pages.

Maybe I view it differently.  As I said, I watched many of my florida fans cheer on alabama as if it were their team.  I find that weird.  But maybe that is just because I cheer for the Noles???

I wish I had google glasses or something to be able to record the amount of arrogance being shown by Nole fans the past 7-8 weeks. My FB Feed is complete Nole arrogance. It happens that's how it goes, and I understand that.

I don't think UF will beat FSU... My point is that UF is still better than all these other ACC teams.  The only teams they would lose to are FSU, Clemson, and Miami (although given a second chance they would beat Miami).  The rest are wins.  If they were in the ACC, they would likely only play 2 out of the 3, which equals 2 losses.  Simple logic really.

 

They could eek out wins over Wake and Duke and other turds like Miami has.

 

How is stating that FSU's schedule/conference is a joke "whining"?  It's just a fact.

Actually a co-worker of mine who is a huge Gator fan here at work instant message me the link.

 

Its cute because that represents 1/3 of my workplace right now. In his office he still has all his Gator fan pictures up, along with his Gator autographed alum picture so his alligance isnt wavered at all. He said it himself how he is embarrassed at his own fanbase, calling them the most fickle group and he cant stand some of them.

 

On the other side of the hall, another co-worker of mine has taken down her gator stuff and said she is "done" with the team.

So if they beat Florida that means the team is good?  Even when they were outgained by 200 yards and were given 5 turnovers?  Hmm, ok dude.  

 

FSU blowing out Clemson is the only game that matters.  The rest are against poor competition.  Why didn't we let Boise State play for a title when they were undefeated?  Because they only had one good win that they were able to plan for all year.  They knew the rest of the team were garbage.

 

FSU can play for a title.  Do they deserve it?  Not really.  The ACC is worse than every other automatic qualifying conference.
