Week 4 Games Of Interest

Quote:If the SEC gets two teams in than they will at least have an argument.
The BCS proved the argument correct already. Like I said, minds already made up.

Quote:Not correct. Strength of schedule is one of the protocols the committee looks at. Head to head as well. Strength of conference most certainly is huge still.

Either way, folks will get the points I've brought up ad nauseam, or they will choose not to. This thread proves that.

Don't forget game control.

I'm not forgetting anything. Just pointing out the two that was brought up by JT that said weren't a factor anymore. With that being said, SOS and H2H appear to be 2 and 3 on the committee's protocol.

Quote:Gator fans have got to have something to cheer for this year.

They do - their own team. Florida is undefeated. The Tennessee game was ugly, but a win is a win and we made some great plays.

UCLA thrashing Arizona in Arizona.

Utah thrashing Oregon in Oregon.

These games have Michigan looking better by the minute.

Awesome. They are out of the playoff hunt now, right? Kinda hard to get there with two losses.

Yes. Michigan went on the road to Utah and lost by 7 points.

At the time, it looked like Michigan simply lost to an average team. Now, Michigan's only loss was a 1 score game on the road against one of the best teams in the country.

Quote:I went to Stetson. I'm not a hardcore UF fan however. I'm a casual fan and I lose 0 sleep when they lose. Very different from the Nole homers here who literally cry when they lose.

Stetson is a great school. The level of passion you have for a team makes no difference in your original statement. By your own admission, you are a poser. I think that's a rediculous stance.

This is on point. You saw it last year with the cfp sliding fsu down gradually. I'm curious to see if they do the same with ohio st if they are winning close games that should be blow outs.

I was stunned the Raiders  could keep it close all day.

It really isn't. Most likely it'll be 4 teams from 4 different conferences. You have a better shot making it to the playoffs in the ACC than you do the SEC.

And FSU made the playoffs even with a weak schedule.

Yes, their schedule is even worse this year. I hear people saying you can't leave out a undefeated ACC champ. Evem if FSU is undefeated, I don't see them getting in.  The CFP committee put one loss teams ahead of a undefeated defending national champion. I don't see a ACC team making it unless clempson doesn't pull a clempson.

If FSU goes undefeated they will definitely be in.

How is the schedule even worse this year?

Louisville and GT crapped the bed this year.  scUM and UF are still down, not playing notre dame and a weaker out of conference schedule.
