I'm Over Bortles

I'm not ignoring his mistakes.  But you are making it sound like BB5 crapped the bed today.  He didn't.  This game was lost by the D more than the QB...  For you to not see that means you were either too drunk to remember, or you really weren't objective enough to really pay attention.

Seriously you couldnt be any more wrong. The D held the pats to 13 before the bortles wobble started. We were never going to beat the pats on defense but bortles could not keep it competitive and thats what I wanted to see. Bortles had a couple of throw away tds when the game was already a blowout. But when the game was a contest he could not move the ball. Hes our leader on offense and hes unable to carry the team.

Quote:If bortles was half decent it would've been better. That's why. The defense actually played decent in the first half. Don't be stupid.

Stupid is complaining about the QB while ignoring the defensive meltdown..which has a defensive minded coach and more experience than the offense. I won't say don't be stupid cuz you're already there.

Bortles had a lousy game, but when you're down after the first few minutes of the game and it didn't stop from there on out, the offense changes.

You think the offense woulda put up 52 points? No.

So the loss is a loss. A bad one.

I'm not bailing on Blake. He gets the whole season before I begin to pass judgement. Right now, both sides of the ball are really struggling due to injuries and its a shame Dave didn't bolster the WR corps. This roster is just not at a point where it can withstand having 6+ projected starters out due to injury.

I am confident that the offense is going to open up in a big way once Thomas is back.

What did Bortles do to keep the game close? You think this defense was gonna hold that offense. I knew they wouldnt. Bortles needed to move the offense and he could not do it sans one drive in the first half.

Quote:Decision making isn't even the most concerning thing for me, it's that he throws awful, inaccurate balls at least 30 percent of the time. He literally struggles to throw the ball at times, and that's not something you should have to worry about in professional football.

He had a bad game, and yes in his 2nd year it shouldnt be that bad, but he is only in his 2nd year... he'll have more up and down games this year.. it is what it is...

he's still leaps and bounds better than Chad Henne.

Quote:That's a flat out lie. I was here after the phins game praising the win.

Praising the win? That's a stretch even for you.

Regardless of what you think, i was here after the win appreciating it. Therefor the accusation that I only show up after a loss is blatantly false.

And you saying you praised the win is also false. Two lies makes one truth right?

I wouldve said last year even if the team had traded for a Matt Stafford the offense wouldnt improve greatly because the Oline can't protect the QB, but this year they are giving Bortles the time.. the receivers are dropping way too many passes but Bortles has missed opportunites too...

Its a learning experince for him.  Hopefully he'll improve by next year.

Again,The accusation was that I only show up after a loss. That is false. I showed up in several threads and discussed the victory. I was happy about the win and again stated as much. Pretty ironic to call me a liar when in fact you are the liar here.

The good ones have it right away. Blake to me is an unknown. I hope he turns out good, but he hasn't given us hope except for the preseason. Just like Gabbert. Atleast he isn't afraid.

At times hes skittish though. Hopefully he can shake it and start taking over games. He throws an ugly ball though, It may actually be a reason for the drops.

When did I accuse you of not showing up? I said you lied about saying you praised the win. You did not praise the win. So that is a lie. I'm not sure what you're struggling with here.

Quote:We are not even in the same realm as the Patriots. Totally outclassed.

Too soon to give up on BB. He's jacked quite a few this year. Nice big plays at big times. We will learn a lot next week. Any Qb for Jax knows the Colts are the standard to defeat.

I agree that next week we will get a more accurate look of Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Big opportunity.

You are a joke. Another poster made the accusation you dumb ape. I discussed the victory and said I would never be disappointed in a win. I basically praised the win. What do you want? You are going to tell me how to feel now? Get outta here chump.

More accurate?  What is your goal for the team?  To compete with mediocre teams?  Or win the Superbowl?  We measured against the champs today and didn't even register on the scale.

Man some of you are so immature. I literally just want to talk about the game and all I see is nonsense. It's not even worth coming here after a loss.

The Patriots schooled us today. We didn't capitalize on ANY opportunities to keep it close and we were missing key players. On to Indy.

My goal? Make the playoffs. Beat Indy next week and we control our own destiny. The team was outclassed today in every phase, no denying that. The Patriots are a machine right now... A heathy machine of a team.

You ever play sports before? When I played, we had awful awful games and got stomped by teams we had to play our best game to beat, but then the very next game we would come out and play really well and WIN. It happens. I think next week is where we will see what this team is all about. Today was a freaking wake up call.

Bradley is 8-26.  If he had a better track record I might see your point.
