Week 4 Injury Updates

#21

Quote:Just put Marks on IR and be done with it....get him focused on 2016 when he and Fowler will be more than a year removed....

Fowler/Smith/Draft Pick

Marks/Bennett

Miller/Draft Pick

Odrick/Tyson/Jones

nice talent for the next coach......hopefully Urban Meyer

That's being a bit dramatic, don't you think?  The guy played in practice all of last week (light), and if he doesnt play against the Colts he will play the following week.

Thomas most likely will play against the Colts, but might be limited like they did with Lee.

Lee should be used more in this game than the previous two.

Quote:Julius Thomas won't do much.  Peyton Manning made him look good.

I disagree while any receiver playing for Peyton Manning or Tom Brady has it much easier than that of lesser talented /exp. QBs, JT's basketball skill set to get up and take the ball out of the end zone & the mismatchups he presents will still make him an endzone threat & a great weapon for Bortles (should Bortles have the ability to get it to him is another matter all together).

Quote:This is an awful idea. You don't sit your best defensive player on IR when he could return in a few weeks. Secondly, Urban Meyer?
It would have been better to keep Marks on the PUP list and activate him after week 6, which is about when he'll come back anyway.

You are that down on Bortles and he has no shot to improve?

You don't know that until he has played for a different quarterback. I guarantee you David Caldwell was doing his homework while looking for a veteran tight end.

Quote:Being limited in practice does not mean he's automatically out. It may mean they're just being careful. I still feel given on-going reports since the incident that JT has a good shot at playing this week. Let's see what Gus has to say tomorrow before jumping to any conclusions on him. It does sound like Marks and Gratz still need at least another week.

It's good to hear that Lee merely missed time as a precaution and should be ready to go against the Colts. It's also good to hear that Cyprien, Evans, Joekel and Branch all at least have a reasonable shot at being able to play. I haven't heard a peep about Linder still ailing after starting and playing all week this past Sunday, so that's great news.

Has there been any word on Sergo Brown and Devon House? I recall hearing that House was also walking in a boot after the game.
Davon House and Brown are listed as probable

I think lee being out was precautionary but it's definitely getting old.

As much as I want Julius and Marks back, there's zero reason to rush them.  They are our best players on both sides of the ball and you don't want a setback.

He didn't practice today. Not practicing for a guy who is always injured is a bad sign.

As much as I like Lee, I'm starting to lean this way.

I agree it's just hamstrings are one of the most annoying injuries that keep coming back so it'll be telling to see how he practices the rest of the week.

Ryan O'Halloran was asked about this on twitter, if he was out for precautionary or not and he answered that he doubts it's precautionary, said Lee stayed out in second half against Patriots because he was hurt (despite what Lee said) and he still is hurt that's why he's not practiced today.

Looks like we have to wait at least another week before we see Thomas...
