Quote:Clearly a conspiracy. It's widely known scientists are in cahoots with Hollywood big shots. It just makes too much sense.

The moon is just a giant egg.  We'll be going back once it hatches.

As for the water on mars, just make sure not to get too close to it.  Bad idea.

In all seriousness, this is a great discovery.  The more we explore and learn, the better.

Quote:Wait. Don't tell me you actually believe this crap. I mean, come on, this is NASA we are talking about. This is obviously some kind of money-grabbing scheme these scientists have come up with. Please don't tell me you fell for it lol.

Oh, do tell.

What's to tell? The scientists come up with some new thing. The media runs with it because they don't know any better. Boom! They all line their pockets with that highly lucrative governent funding. I mean this is NASA we are talking about--the same people who claim anthropomorphic clinate change is real so obviously there can't be water on Mars.

Government and private corporate entities have been colluding for centuries. Is it really that hard for you to believe that the government and Hollywood (also private corporate entities) would do the same?

Stay delusional and keep taking that blue pill.

What's trolling? I'm simply pointing out that NASA says there's water on the planet mars and that anthropomorphic climate change is real and happening on earth. We KNOW they are lying about climate change. Why wouldn't they lie about this? It's the same deal. Look at all the attention (read money) they are getting from this. Isn't it obvious? I mean Mars is red. Water is blue. Case friggin closed. There is no such thing as water on Mars. Period.

"Scientists" were convinced the surface of the moon would be like quicksand and advised against landing anything on it and certainly didn't want man to try to walk on it.

So whether or not water is there isn't really clear.  The implications are sure to be politicized, as climate change has now been proven to exist without human intervention on another planet in addition to our own.

Which leads me to the new Martian movie.  It's sad we have so little respect now for our predecessors that we have to write lines like "IN YOUR FACE NEIL ARMSTRONG!" into movies.  Just sad the way some like to dump all over our progress to date, by pretending the lack of progress and in some cases regression of today is "progress."  Show a little respect for those who paved the way to allow for today's successes.  It would have been much more appropriate to thank Neil and pay homage to his accomplishments than treat them so glibly and disrespectfully.

I'll counter with a question of my own: Is anthropomorphic climate change real?

NOPE.

No, climate change looks nothing like a human or has any human-like qualities (bad use of anthropomorphic).  Now, if you want to ask if climate change is caused by man, I believe man does contribute.  The truth behind the climate change trend over the last two decades lies somewhere between the opposing ideologies.  It's my belief that pollution, carbon, etc., is exacerbating naturally occurring cyclical climate changes.

So you halfway-believe in anthropogenic* climate change? I have to wonder then what the ideologies on mars are and how they affect the reality of the science.
