Quote:Just a gut feeling really. The way some of you guys are thinking though, why even play the game? The gators are above being beat by a true freshman?
At no point have I said that, I was simply referring to how confident you were in your assumption that mizzou would beat us with no other reason than a "gut feeling." And I haven't once assumed that were automatically the best team in the sec, we've been good for one game and two drives.

As a side note, who is your favorite college team?

This is confusing.. You should go back and read page one. Your post about the true freshman QB was before my post about the gut feeling. How were you referring to it? You implied that the gators were above being beat by a Misery team with a true freshman qb. As a side note, FSU.

As a gator fan I would love for us to beat Misery, and if will Grier plays like he did last week and our defense does the same then I believe we will win, I think that out aggressive pass rush will confound their frosh. However, I can still remember that first half against Tennessee and Im not going to assume that we're the cream of the crop after beating an Ole miss team that got lucky against alabama. So I'm not going to talk any more smack lol. If we beat beat misery and then go down to baton Rouge and somehow find a way to win in that venue, then I may start talking trash again lol

Ole Miss did not get lucky at Alabama. If you turn the ball over five times, you lose the game. But I always knew winning there did not make Ole Miss a top five team. They won by what, 5 or 6 points? But I was surprised how the Gators were so dominant against the Rebels with a sick quarterback.

So you don't think that having 5 turnovers in a single game go your way is lucky?

And the tip pass to Treadwell that the other receiver took to the house is the absolute definition of luck

That play was 2013 Auburn lucky.

No because to take the ball away from the offense a defense needs to make a play on it.

The definition of luck is something like the opponent missing a field goal attempt or officials not calling a 15-yard penalty.

So you can really tell me you don't think the tipped touchdown pass was lucky?

I was only talking about turnovers, not that play.

Quote:Who cares what the fans think, dude. There's no way in hell McElwain will let his team get cocky and complacent. Mizzou isn't a team to fear to be honest, but its not like the Gators are invincible.

Meanwhile, FSU fans are acting high and mighty after squeaking out a win against Wake flippin Forest....................
You mean a win where FSU never trailed, lost their star running back to injury in the first quarter , and beat an ACC team at their stadium? Yea FSU nation is happy we pulled it out and remain undefeated. This year wins won't always be pretty in college football as a whole. Florida fans shouldn't try to talk trash about how other teams have won this year when their team hasn't blown out their competition either.

Jeeze...this is a pathetic post.

For the record though, I haven't seen fsu fans cocky or gloating at all. And I haven't really seen any cocky gator fans either.

I think fsu and Florida fans are just happy their teams are pulling out the wins right now.

Northwestern probably loses today.

The fsu/miamj game last year was almost a loss for the noles. I wonder if there is an upset possibility there as well.

Also mizzou still has talent and the Gators are still an inexperienced unit under coach Mac so that isn't a gimme.

And last, titansequaltrash, who is your team?
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

The Gators did blow out their last opponent, which was ranked #3 at the time. Wake Forest is not one of the two good teams in the ACC. There is a reason UF is ranked higher than FSU: the Gators are better than the Seminoles.

How about those games against Kentucky and Tenn? Lol Those teams are the bottom feeders of the SEC. Florida over achieved against an over ranked ole miss team that is not a top 3 team in the country. Ole miss turned the ball over 5 times against Alabama yet bama still had a chance to win at the end of the game the week before. I'm not saying Wake forest is a great team either. I'm saying that Florida fans have little room to talk when they have failed to blow out teams they have played this year. FSU fans have not been cocky and have been happy with winning because it's better than the alternative.

I'm not sure if you're quoting this as proof of cocky gator fans but nothing that person says should ever be taken seriously.

Yea, definitely some trolling going on with that one.
