New Head Coach

Guys I would consider if available:

Chuck Pagano, Indy.

Josh McDaniels, New England

Eric Mangini, 49ers

Sean McDermott, Carolina

Vic Fangio, Chicago

Tom Clements, Green Bay

I'd favor the first two because they have head coaching experience.

Mangini depends on what he gets out of a 49ers defense that is young and not supposed to do anything.

Next three are guys that have consistently coached highly ranked teams consistently. They also have reputations for good playing and development. They all deserve shots if they are interested.

Of course this will only be if Gus is fired which will not happen.

Give me Linehan, if we get outscored 45-43 then so be it.

Hire Mike Gundy. He has a history of winning and maybe he will convince Blackmon to play now and booze later.

And he's a man. He's 40.

Sean Payton no doubt about it.

Jason Campbell got hurt and he traded a 1st round pick for Palmer.

Also this:

Quote: After starting the season 7-4, the Raiders lost four of their final five games to mark their ninth straight season without a winning record or a playoff berth. A late-game collapse at home against Detroit on Dec. 18 and a 38-26 loss to San Diego at home in the season finale did in the Raiders and ultimately Jackson.

Jackson joined the Raiders as offensive coordinator in 2010 under head coach Tom Cable and engineered a dramatic improvement as Oakland more than doubled its point total and improved to 8-8. That helped him get the job when Davis decided not to retain Cable.

The offense wasn't quite as effective with Jackson as head coach, with injuries to star running back Darren McFadden, receiver Jacoby Ford and Campbell playing a role in the decline.

But the biggest problems this past season were an inability to curb the team's propensity for penalties and on the defensive side of the ball. The team committed 163 penalties for 1,358 yards, setting records in both categories, as Jackson was unable to instill the discipline he promised.

The Raiders also had franchise worsts in touchdown passes allowed (31), yards per carry (5.1), yards passing (4,262) and total yards (6,201), while giving up the third-most points (433) in team history.

Sound familiar?

Was 4-2 with him before he got hurt sorry.

Those stats are pretty gruesome cant argue with them at all! Check the offense the Raiders had when he brought them to 5th in scoring (25ppg) and 2nd in rushing (155 yards pg).

Our new head coach should be an offensive mind and I don't see any better options other than Payton.

I'd take Steve Spurrier as coach over Buffoon Bradley. I'd hire JDub as head coach before giving bradley another year.

All of HC Gus Bradley & GM Dave Caldwell's tenure for rankings are the three lines at the bottom... very telling...

While I think Bradley may be in over his head I have to agree with you

None of those excite me in the slightest.

Right now I'd keep Gus until the end of the year and if we still look like trash I'd go hunting. Plenty of decent HC's who get fired just need a change of scenerary (Rex Ryan, Andy Reid etc) so someone might become available at year end.

I'm surprised McDaniels has so many votes. He's never done anything to impress me and the Belichick/Brady make coaches look good. Everyone was hyping up Bill O'Brien on here a year or two ago and look at how well he's doing (and he has the best defensive player on the league). He's benching his QB's almost every game and treats his players like little kids.
