Robert will have more TDs than Treon... Book it!

I think it is important to identify players that are surfacing as potential draft candidates.

One such player is

YANNICK NGAKOUE - OLB/Leo - Maryland - 6'2" - 255 lbs

In the four games he has played for Maryland he has 14 Total Tackles of which 5.5 were SACKS of the QB.

With Maryland in the Big Ten keep an eye out for this player.

I see him as a mid-2nd Rd selection.

A potential Mid Rd 1 selection is

Emmanuel Ogbah - DE - Oklahima State - 6'4" 275 Lbs

Granted OK St has played a cupcake schedule through 4 games, Ogbah has 19 TT, 7 TFL, 5.5 Sacks and 6 QBH.

Should the Jags win 7 or 8 games then Ogbah could be a potential Rd 1 target for the Jags.

A mid Rd (Rds 4 or 5) prospect:

Bryce Williams - TE - East Carolina - 6'6" 258 Lbs

East Carolina has played a pretty good schedule over the first 4 games

Stats over these first 4 games: 19 Receptions - 3 TDs

Quote:Aren't you the guy who loved abdullah too? Seems like you favor that style of running back over actual talent.

Because abdullah has started his pro career awfully? He's averaging pretty much 4ypc and helping out a bunch in the pass game. He's probably been the best rookie rb this year not including Matt Jones' one good game

Ogbah looked pretty good last year too. A guy that seems to stand out whenever I've seen his team play.

Emmanuel Ogbah UPDATE

Through 5 Games for Oklahoma State: 25 TT, 10 TFL, 6.5 Sacks and 8 QBH.

Ogbah remains a viable option for the Jags if they select between Picks 10 and 14 (meaning 6 or 7 wins)

You got to be impressed with the play of

JONATHAN BULLARD - 6'3" 283 Lbs - Florida

Through the first 5 games his stat line is: 26 TT, 9.5 TFL, 4.5 Sacks and 3 QBH

Many have him slotted for late Rd 2 perhaps early RD 3 selection.

Is he a BIG DE (283 Lbs in the NFL is not really BIG for the NFL)

or small DT - (283 Lbs is a little light for a DT, but he looks like he could put on 17 pounds and maybe play DT)

Anyway, Bullard must be considered as someone to place on the Jags WATCH LIST because he does something the Jags need and that is RUSH THE PASSER!

Another player that should be considered with the Jags Rd 1 selection:

Jaylon Smith - LB - Notre Dame - 6' 2.5" 240 Lbs

Through 5 Games: 38 TT, 5.5 TFL, 1 Sack, 3 PD, 2 QBH, 1 FF

May have been the best player that FSU faced last year. Was unblockable at times.

If Dave wants to go WR early I like Josh Doctson.  Best WR in the draft IMO

I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on duke Williams in the 4th or 5th he'll likely be there for our 5th rounder now he's been released from auburn

Duke Williams biggest problem, prior to his dismissal, was his hands. He just does not catch the ball with his hands and typically that does not bode well for a future in the NFL.

Agreed, I think in the 5th he would be a steal. Don't forget we said the same about our Allen hurns.

I have a concern about Smith due to him really not showing up in the ND-Clemson game.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Yeah. He has not had a great year so far.

Hargreaves has to be on the top of the list IMO.  The best playmaker, best corner, and a position of need.  If there was a true number 1 WR I would say go that route but I dont see a WR in this draft that is better than what we have and def. not in the top 10.  He might end of the best corner this franchise has ever had!
