Del Rio got the Raiders Rolling again

Quote:Where is the evidence that this is true?  Do you have a link?

I remember the conversation while the draft was going on.  The below touches on it briefly.  I'm not a draft revisionist and I do think, especially after watching that horrific pass rush against the clots, that Fowler could still be the better pick.

"The thinking by some" = pure speculation.

That's true but Caldwell would never come out and say "I wanted Cooper but I took Fowler for Gus."  Just my opinion but I feel it's true.

Malcom Smith, Aldon Smith, Khalil Mack, Charles Woodson, Curtis Lofton, Justin Tuck...That's an impressive defense.

How is Khalil Mack doing? I recall him being oh so close to being picked by the Jaguars.

JDR and his shenanigans again:

Quote:Del Rio says Latavius Murray was not benched

Latavius Murray | OAK

(October 6, 2015 11:15 AM EDT)

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio said RB Latavius Murray was not benched following a fourth-quarter fumble Week 4 against the Bears.

Murray was clearly benched, but the good news is Del Rio expressed confidence in the young back. "I remain confident," Del Rio said. "None of us are perfect. We all are capable of making mistakes. I think the sooner you own up to mistakes, the quicker you can put them behind you and move forward." Murray should remain the workhorse moving forward.

Quote:Cooper with another 100+ yard game.  2 for 3 to start his career.

Too bad GM Dave Caldwell didnt get Blake a real deep WR threat.

We have two 100+ yard games by a receiver so far this year as well.

Shhhh. You'll just confuse him.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I actually laughed out loud to this one.

Am i alone in thinking Fowler was the better pick?  Obviously we haven't seen him in the NFL yet, and there's no way Caldwell could've predicted the injury, but this team needs a legit pass rusher WAAAY more than another legit receiver.  QBs can read a book in the pocket against us.  Somehow, our D is managing to have a decent season despite, but could you imagine if we could get after the QB?

His first four games in his second season are better than OBJ's first four games in his second season.

I'd take a great pass rusher at this point over a great WR. Our team hasn't had anyone that can rush for too long. It's kind of an important position. Hoping Fowler turns out great, which I think he will. Can't have em both, but Cooper is amazing also. Either one would have been a win, but pass rush was definitely needed.

His first 16 games of his career are better than any other's in NFL history.

Del Rio was saddled with the likes of GS and an owner that was marking time.

Too bad, he would have def been better than mularkey and probably gus.

At least he had several years of experience as a HC.......just not under ideal circumstances.
