Top 32 - 2016 NFL Draft Prospects
|
Quote:Hargreaves has to be on the top of the list IMO. The best playmaker, best corner, and a position of need. If there was a true number 1 WR I would say go that route but I dont see a WR in this draft that is better than what we have and def. not in the top 10. He might end of the best corner this franchise has ever had! My only concern with Hargreaves is his height.

Quote:My only concern with Hargreaves is his height.he is the same height as Revis, i think he will be fine. Everything else he does well will make up for it
Right now, many mock drafts have the Jags picking no later than Pick 8, which will be the basis for this mock draft.
Free Agency: 1. Mohamed Sanu - WR - Bengals - 6'2" 210 Lbs - 5 Yrs - 30 Mil Bengals will let him hit Free Agency and combined with Hurns and Robinson the Jags have three move the chains type of WRs. 2. Nigel Bradham - SLB - Bills - 6'2" 235Lbs - 5 Yrs - 30 Mil Jags sign a LB that can man all three positions and can cover the TEs across the field. Draft: Rd 1 (8) Jaylon Smith - MLB - Notre Dame - 6'2" 235 Lbs The Jags rebuild their LB Corps to handle the pass happy NFL. Telvin, Jaylon and Nigel can all rush the passer and still drop back in coverage. Rd 2(40): Jonathan Bullard - DE - Florida - 6'3" 283 Lbs Jags need more pass rushers that can also hold the edge and stop the run. Bullard and Fowler will spell each other at the Leo spot as well as be on the field together on pass rush downs. Rd 3(72) Maliek Collins - DT - Nebraska - 6'0" 300 Lbs 3 Tech DT that can really rush the passer Rd 4(108) Darian Thompson - FS - Boise State - 6'2" 210 Lbs More depth at the FS spot Rd 5(144): Bryce Williams - TE - East Carolina - 6'6" 258 lbs Pass catching TE that can actually block for the run game. Rd 6(180): Lloyd Carrington - CB - Arizona State - 5'11" 194 Lbs More competition at the CB position Rd 6(193): Fabian Moreau - CB - UCLA - 6'0" 195 Lbs Another CB Rd 7(216): Jonathan Williams - RB - Arkansas - 5'11" 224 Lbs More depth at RB
I don't get all the love for Jaylon Smith ,he looked awful against Clemson, he missed a lot of tackles and struggled to get off blocks, looked good rushing the passer though.
Quote:Right now, many mock drafts have the Jags picking no later than Pick 8, which will be the basis for this mock draft. I'm curious, Stigma, have you seen any of Iowa DB Desmond King? He's playing real well this year for the 5-0 Hawkeyes. He's a big reason why they're still undefeated. 5 INTs already this season. We show less advertisements to registered users. Hargreaves, Jack, or Ramesy so far but I don't look into this too much until the senior bowl
"Get Better Everyday"
ROUND 1- Jalen Ramsey S/CB FSU 6'1 200
Athletic freak who plays smart, has no problem being physical and can also play cornerback at a high level.Adds a play-maker to the secondary. ROUND 2 - Kendell Beckwith MLB LSU 6'2 250 Faster version of Poz with better coverage ability. ROUND 3 - Pharoh Cooper WR S Carolina 5'11 208 Would add another dimension to our offense ,a Randall Cobb type to put in the slot. ROUND 4 - Eric Muray CB Minnesota 6'0 195 One of the best CBs in college in my opinion so might not last this long, really smart, gritty corner with great coverage skills but doesn't get much INTs ROUND 5 - Keith Marshall RB Georgia 5'11 212 Stuck behind Gurley and Chubb but a very talented RB ,very fast and would be the perfect complement to Yeldon. ROUND 6 - Jarron Jones DT Notre Dame 6'5 320 Big DT who had a very good 2014 season before injuring his MCL this year. ROUND 6 - Jimmy Bean DE Oklahoma State 6'5 250 Overshadowed by Emmanuel Ogbah but a very good player in his own right.Has 4 sacks already this year. ROUND 7 - Dan Vitale H-Back Northwestern 6'2 225 Very good pass catcher ,can improve as a blocker.

The HYPE MACHINE on Joey Bosa of Ohio State has him as a Top 3 Pick on every mock draft but here are his stats through 5 games
Joey Bosa - 4 Games Played - 19 TT - 5 TFL, 0.5 Sacks - 4 QBH Is the hype over Joey Bosa really justified?
So I did some research on
Desmond King - CB - Iowa Hawkeyes 5'11" 200 Lbs Through 5 Games: 29 TT - 1 TFL - 5 Ints - 9 PD I also ran across an interesting article that mentioned a quote from Odell Beckham Jr from the 2013 Outback Bowl http://www.hawkcentral.com/story/sports/.../31925949/ In the article Kings says he will stay for his senior season because he wants his diploma. I guess time will tell
While checking out the Top 100 College Players for the 2016 NFL Draft I noticed how far one player seemed to have slipped on the list. This player is
Tre'Davious White - CB - LSU - 5'11" 191 Lbs He is ranked No. 49 on the list of 100 and I wondered WHY? I checked his stats through 5 games: 17 TT - 0 Ints yet he is ranked as the 4th best CB behind, Hargreaves(Florida), Ramsey(FSU), Sutton (Tenn) and then White (LSU) then I came across this article and it sort of cleared things up http://nfldraftgeek.com/tredaviouswhite-...draft.html
Quote:Really nice article entitled:lol, Matt Miller is propably the wost out there. A lot of rankings on that list back it up. He had Teddy Bridgewater as the 2nd best player he has ever scouted behind Andrew Luck, fell for the pre season hype and didnt watch tape. Lol, thats just one example, many more. I know no one is ever pefect when it comes to scouting players but he is probably the worst i have seen. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:he is the same height as Revis, i think he will be fine. Everything else he does well will make up for it He is listed at 5'11 but seems shorter than that.
Noah Spence - DE (Leo Candidate) 6'3" 247 Lbs - Eastern Kentucky
Apparently Spence had a very good game against Kentucky and might have climbed into Rd 3 consideration. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/132912/noah-spence
Anybody checked out this guy?
Carl Nassib DE - Penn State - 6'7" 272 Lbs Through 6 Games his stats are: 27 TT - 12 TFL - 10 Sacks That is impressive. Currently he is a Rd 3 selection who could rise into Rd 2. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
One player that seems to not get any love whatsoever is:
Darian Thompson - FS - Boise State - R. Sr. - 6'2" 212 Lbs His stats through 6 games (half the season) are: 30 TT - 4 Ints - 7 PD I hope he slips to Rd 4, but I would not mind the Jags trading up to the end of Rd 3 to sang this guy.
Not sure many noticed that this week
Karl Joseph - SS - West Virginia - 5'11" 197 Lbs suffered a non-contact ACL injury which effectively ended his Senior season at WVa. Through 4 games he had: 20 TT, 5 Ints and 2 TFL He will not be ready to show scouts anything before the draft, so the question arises, how far does he fall in the draft. I could see taking Joseph with one of the Jags Rd 6 picks and putting him on the shelf for the middle of the 2016 season. Quote:Not sure many noticed that this week As a WV fan, I would love to see KJ drafted by the Jags. He's a phenomenal SS who has really improved on his cover skills but even with his injury I doubt he falls to the 6th round. Probably a 4-5 round guy now |
