What's Worse? Hatred or Indifference

#1

To me, it would be indifference. When it comes to dealing with hatred, the person doing the hating still cares enough about the person or thing to at least think or consider them, while indifference is basically the death of a relationship. An indifferent person does not care about the other person, and does not want any forgiveness or reconciliation. At least with hatred, there's still the chance of love and reconciliation. I'm not justifying hatred in any way, and in many ways hatred can lead to more negative things, but I would say that it'd be fair to say that most evil's have their roots in indifference.

I can only name off the top of my head, about 7 or 8 people in my life whom I would describe as being indifferent.

Well I'm indifferent of you, and I hate you. Do I get a prize? I hate you because you have diamond in your user name and I'm indifferent because I don't want any forgiveness or reconciliation. <_<

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

"The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference."

"The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity." - George Bernard Shaw from BrainyQuote.com

Indifference is the state where a person stops caring about moving towards his goals.
According to M.Farouk Raadwan, MSc., you might become indifferent for the following reasons;
 1. Having problems with another major life area - meaning if you care the most about your child & she is dying you might care less about how you peform on the football field.
 2. Doubts - Questioning yourself or having low confidence in your actions to acheive your main goal like Olson might have with his offense not scoring in the Red Zone he might become indifferent to the rest of the game.
 3. Loss of Hope - Kind of like doubt but worse if you were Gus you might say maybe we will never own the AFC South and then you become indifferent to the rest of the season.
 4. FEARs - again low self esteem can cause fear to creap in your thoughts and you become indifferent to the success on the field because you are afraid that your team will get more injuries.

How to stop being indifferent;

 1. Flexibility -Eisteen said he wasnt smarter than everyone he simply never gave up. He said insanity was doing the same thing over expecting different results, but he never would quit he simply would change & retry.
 2. Build self esteem - Trust in yourself to get the job done, and you will feel less indifferent towards the goals.
 3. Deal with depression - basically restore the hope in which you lost to avoid being indifferent.

Keep in mind if you find yourself being indifferent you might want to seek professional help as it could be a sign of a serious mental illiness.

I picked Hatred because you should never have hate in your heart. Hate is a deep strong emotion which can consume you. It tends to hurt you more than anyone or thing.

I hate to be apathetic, but I really don't care.
