Jags and Bucs are actually not that far apart from each other.

- JAGS: In year 3 of rebuild (2nd year QB)

- BUCS: In year 2 of rebuild (1st year QB)

The Jags are a year ahead of the Bucs. It shows in their level of play. Although not very good, they're not getting smashed around and thumped consistently like they were last year and 2 years ago (Pats game not withstanding).

The Bucs look like the Jags did last year. Somewhat capable at times,, but getting smashed around and thumped most frequently.

This one is not a "Must Win." Knowing the Jags, it'll be a tight game with a team they should be better than. But, really,,,, will anyone actually be surprised if the Bucs win? Seriously? I wouldn't be.

Sorry dude. Don't think you can say the Jags are "likely" to win any game. Not when we consistently lose.

I do see improvement but it hasn't reached the point where I expect them to win certain games.

I don't like the term "must win" so early in the season... with that being said if we want to continue to head in the right direction we gotta beat the Bucs(worst team in the nfl according to power rankings on nfl.com)... 1-3 is never a good thing but still very early in a weak division, a lot can happen... I believe we are an all around more talented team than the other teams in our division. We won a great game against MIA, lost 2 very close heart breaking games against too very good teams, obviously we got destroyed by the Patriots (best team in the NFL) but hey our team is still very young and on the rise... I believe we have already shown we are MUCH MUCH better than we were last year, and if we wanted to continue to show we are, we have to beat a team like tampa... convincingly

Hmm, I don't know what Olive Garden you guys are eating at. The one next to the Avenues is really good. I also eat at Buca a good amount, they're both good.

Buca is awesome as long as you use one of their coupons. Overpriced otherwise.

Gus should've been pink slipped last week after losing to that 40 year old quarterback with a team that is supposed to be built. He's held to no accountability because of the fans they have supporting this team just happy to have a team in that city. The threat of moving this team to LA or across the ocean has these country bumpkins shook to question the direction of this bad product.

As long as we end the season with a few "momentum" wins as other teams tank for the draft or rest starters for the postseason, Gus will unfortunately be back in 2016

I wish people would stop qualifying the loss as bad just because it was "a 40 year old QB".

Brady is 38. Should we have beaten him?

Manning is 39. Should we expect to beat him?

Favre was 40 and in the NFC Title game (close to going to the Superbowl).

Losing to a QB that's 40 isn't a terrible excuse. If you want to qualify it and say "lost to a washed up 40 year old backup QB who's skills are severely diminished," then okay.

But, even though Hasselbeck isn't what he once was,, I still think he's pretty savvy in ways that made him very good a few years ago.

I'm not even going to address comparing those particular other quarterbacks that are 40 or close to it but just ask this question. When you saw The Jaguars were gonna go against the Colts with that 40 year old playing the position did you think they were going to win?

Obviously, I thought the Jags should win that game because I'm not impressed at all with the Colts roster (particularly their OL and defense). Hasselbeck being a back up is better than having to face Luck, yes. But, just because he's 40, doesn't mean that was the reason Jags should've won. Hasselbeck was a very good QB for a long time. Even though his skills aren't what they once were, his experience and knowledge are still excellent assets. It's not like we were facing Henne or Gabbert out there.

Jags still should've won that one though. Colts roster is not very good, imo.

Your comparison is depressing. The Bucs are 1-3. The Jags weren't close to being 1-3 last year with the closest game being a 17 point loss. The Bucs are about the same place we are in their rebuild, and it's only year 2 for them.

I think we've all calmed down from last week but perspective still shouldn't be loss. If Gus Bradley loses this game his tenure here will effectively be over, even if they don't fire him until the end of the season. He would have to have a winning record from this week onwards to maintain his job if he loses today.

Those 'dismal' tinhorns hung 20 on Indy with NO QB. If our redzone woes continue I wouldn't be shocked if we lost today if we don't get 6s instead of 3s.

but seriously, a loss today would be a seriously big nail in a coffin that is running out of room for more nails. Would it be the 'final nail'? That's hard to say; I'm inclined to think that while it might persuasively be argued that it should be, that I think Dave is going to give Gus as much rope as he can until Khan intervenes and pulls that plug.

For my part, I've never liked Gus Bradley's 'style', but... pulling the plug on a HC isn't something to be done lightly. The negative ramifications for the team are profound unless we already have someone in mind with the right combination of grit, charm and intelligence to replace him. If such a creature isn't on the radar scope, then it would be unwise to part company with a known entity like Gus.

If on the other hand the Jags win (close, ugly, lucky... doesn't matter) I can see an argument for keeping Gus around... at least until we can't even reach 6-10.

Lets hope for a win. Go Jags!
