Still have four conference games, so it's still wide open, but sitting in a very good spot as of now.

 

2 of the 4 conference games though are Vandy and SC.  Vandy's defense is better than most folks know and the Ole Ball Coach would love to get an upset, but I have to imagine Florida wins both of those.  That means they have to lose to UGA and LSU to miss out.  And even that may be enough depending on how the rest of the teams finish.  

 

If you book your hotel reservation now and the Gators dont make it to Atlanta, I'll pay for your loss!  Thats how confident I am they're in the championship game.

CFB sub-reddit, yep it was. They do have game day threads and delete them right after it. They then post a post game thread for everyone to discuss the game. They've been taken down for over a week now. Get over yourself, detective.

No doubt. That D is for real. Offensively, they surprised everyone last week. Can they do that week to week or was it a fluke?

 

Ole Miss was grossly overrated just because of its win at then-#2 Alabama. However, I still expected Ole Miss to win here because Florida struggled against unranked opponents. Most likely the Gators can't do it every week, but can do it again.

 

Coach Mac was getting ripped by a lot of people for the way he acted towards Taylor when Taylor put himself above the team. Turns out that's just what this young team needed. He laid down the law and made it clear that selfish behavior wouldn't be tolerated even by players with a pedigree. He is the unabashed leader of that team and a refreshing change from the Muschamp era. He's not going to win every game as coach but he will not let this team beat themselves by making stupid mistakes. I couldn't be more thrilled by the way he's turned this team around.

 

Jim McElwain apologized for his outburst. That should be a dead issue now because Kelvin Taylor tweeted he loves his coach and it made him a better person.

 

One thing that stood out to me during the Will Muschamp era was we committed lots of penalties in the first half, then cleaned up our act in the second half. With McElwain, I am seeing fewer penalties by UF.

After LSU, the other three will be much easier. Georgia lost two games and its star running back (who I read will have surgery in two weeks but did not tear his ACL). So who else in the SEC East can compete for the division title? Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri have now all lost to Florida. South Carolina has what, two losses? We always beat Vanderbilt.
