I 100% agree that its a weird dynamic, but when it comes to certain things you want to keep it in house.  I never would have guessed fans could do that, but when your conference is considered the best I guess they want to keep it that way by any means necessary.

 

Fans of the SEC like to keep it in house.  Its not like one team is far and ahead the others (Alabama can change that quickly)

 

Though I still don't understand it and still think it is very strange/weird, this is actually a good response.

Its more enjoyable when a team has made it to the NC on their own merits instead of some [BAD WORD REMOVED] preseason hype placed them in a overrated ranking made it easier for them to get to the NC game.

 yep in 2007 there were people saying if the jags dont advance to the SB they hope the clots or tacks would be able to because it shows how "strong" our division is.
