They won't. If you want him you'll have to trade for him.

Are guys like Shanahan and McDaniels that good or is it the talent on their respective offenses that great???

OK, for all the posters who want an offensive minded HC.

Who are the top 2 teams in the NFL? You can also go to top 3 or 4.

The Patriots and the Packers, 2 teams who score a lot of points and expect to win.

How about taking a look at either of those OC for the HC job? I know I know, the last OC was a dud, but maybe it will be different this time. It sure can't be worse.

It would be unreal to get a guy from the Pats and their winning tradition in here to lead this team.

I don't even know who either of those guys are and would take a look at them.

Problem: most coaches taken from those two teams are awful once they're away from Bilichick.

It will up to Khan to decide if the Jaguars are building on their failures and allow things to continue.

I support him whatever he decides. He is surely the most qualified to do this.

The Dolphins took that approach and it didn't work out too well for them. It's not a simple. For instance, take a look at the HCs of two very good teams, the Packers and the Ravens. John Harbaugh was a ST coach when he was promoted to HC. Mike McCarthy was the OC for a terrible 49ers team. It's not all about what the players have done, it's about what the coaches have been able to get out of the players they are given.

Well the Jags are going to have to do some homework to find a competent HC to lead them because I have only heard about a good coaching tree, but I have never seen one.

I'm surprised Mike Shannahan's name hasn't been thrown out there

Looking at the link that someone else here provided with the list of possible head coach candidates...................I think Kevin Sumlin might be interesting.

I definitely think our next coach should have head coaching experience.  Plus, I just think he's a winner.

That A&M offense is pretty dynamic...  My concern is that Sumlin doesn't appear to have any NFL coaching experience...
