Passing 19-29 for 203 yards -- 45.0 QB rating

Rushing 4 for Negative 20 yards

Looking for more of an actual write up. Not just the stat sheet.

Quote:don't know much about it, but I thought it was a better indication of QB performance compared to traditional passer rating

what I totally don't get, is why there's 2 different passer ratings for college and NFL, at least QBR is same no matter what

It's not better.

For example: Matt Stafford has a slightly lower QBR than Andrew Luck, but a higher Passer Rating.  Luck has fewer interceptions, and slightly better accuracy.  But Stafford has a much better TD:INT ratio.

Kaepernick is also higher than Romo, despite Romo being better in all statistical areas.  He has better completion, more Touchdowns, fewer interceptions, same YPA, he's even taken less sacks.

Christian Ponder is barely behind Tom Brady.  In fact Ponder is closer to Brady, than Romo is to Kaepernick.  Now Brady is having a down year.  But I don't think Ponder is anywhere close to even Tom Brady in a down year.

For the record, 45 QBR is what RGIII has right now.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Here's all anyone should know about ESPN's QBR. This is from a couple years back, but shows exactly how foolish the stat is.

Rodgers: 26-39, 396 yards, and 2 TDs. Total QBR: 82.1.

Tebow: 4-10, 79 yards, 1 TD, 6 rushes, 38 yards, and 1 rushing TD. Total QBR: 83.2.

Which one game performance would you rather have?

not to take away anything from mccaron and alex smith, but teddy managed the heck out of that game.

If you mean "managed" by Bridgewater moving up in the pocket, avoiding the rush, making accurate throws in a timely manner and putting UoL in the best position to win that game (all this despite horrendous o line play and bad play calling)

All without managing a touchdown

He's young and obsessed with the lazy DE from South Carolina. You have to forgive him.

The consensus greatest defensive prospect in a decade? How crazy of him to think he will be successful.

Anything to downplay someone who doesn't think TB is Jesus Christ.

did i say something wrong? he rode that defense and relied on the running game, asked not to make any mistakes, took advantage of the PA opportunities. sounds like a page from the mccaron/alex smith playbook tbh.

If I was religious, I would agree with the comparison.

Well if we get Bridgewater I hope Bridgewater is amazing, and Clowney busts.

That's not a narrative. He actually is lazy (or comparatively to the rest of the other elite talents he's competing against, at least). So is every other college kid that actively takes plays off in the year that they're preparing to enter the draft. What other message can that send?

That doesn't mean he won't be a top-three pick and the consensus best pass-rushing prospect since Julius Peppers, but there's no exaggeration going on here.

dont know who this guy is and its a little biased but it has some points regarding his "laziness" and his injury.

What does any of that have to do with 2011 and 2012?

Louisville head coach Charlie Strong told reporters he isn't sure if junior QB Teddy Bridgewater will declare for May's NFL Draft.
"I don't know if it's going to be his last game," Strong said of Bridgewater when asked about the school's senior game Memphis. "He has a group that is coming back that he grew up with. I don't know if he is ready to separate." Bridgewater's mother practically announced Bridgewater's intentions to enter the draft a few weeks ago, but Strong does not seem as certain. "Tim Tebow came back, it does happen," he concluded. Nov 18 - 1:07 PM

the majority believes he would declare and its the logical thing to do but i wonder what would happen here if he does decide to stay lol
