Gus delivers new message to his team

Quote:Bradley is a true moron.  Just look at his head.....so thick!

It's not that he's a moron...  He's just not capable of being an NFL HC......

Quote:I can say without a doubt that Khan is preparing for a new coach.

Whether that change will be soon or at the end of the season remains to be seen.

Judging Khan's previous moves with the Fulham FC, he is a no non-sense type of guy. He was told by Caldwell and Bradley that this was the year where we start winning after the multi-year rebuild.

All we have seen is the same results.
Link? I have seen this said but no link to confirm it...I have not heard anyone say this is the year the wins start coming, other than on this board...I have heard this is where we are to be competitive, and as we continue to get better, the wins will start to come, but I've never heard (other than on this board) that this is the year to see the wins start coming

Here's the full presser. Gus is very animated and emotional.

Gus  "I feel like somethings wrong".

"It was a variety of issues...  Mis allignments, mis tackles"  "Some opportoonies missed".

Man...  The guy really seems like a good person.  It's just a shame...  I wish he was a better coach.  But he's just out of his league...  You gotta fire him..  If you want to be cool and let him stick around till the end of the season, fine...  But he's not the guy to lead us to wins.

I'm slowly coming around to this line of thinking. It seems like he's just a pawn in Caldwell's grand scheme. Blow the entire team up and hire the guy who can hold the locker room together for a few years with while I build the team piece by piece. If he's successful, then great, if not no real loss.

Yeah, I'm sure he does...  He can pick his next DC spot...  And I'm sure some mid-major schools would jump at giving him a chance as a HC in college...

Quote:Other Head Coaches in the league right now would have this team at 3-2 or 4-1 IMO.

We'd be 4-1 with a competent hc. I have no doubt about that. We've played trash teams except for the patriots.

I think most of us feel this way about Gus. Yeah, there are some real Gus haters on here, but for the most part, I just think most of us wish he was just a lot better of a HC then he has turned out to be.

It is a shame because he appears to be a genuinely nice guy, but for whatever reason, he has been a pretty bad HC for the Jags on game day.

Khan or Dave will have to make that decision and at this time, it's only a matter of when, after London or after the season, barring a miracle and we all know how often miracles happen around here.

Quote:Or Poz makes that much difference?

At least the offense was good, except for those three passes Bortles threw to Marcedes when Allen Robinson was wide open.

Granted, as tough as this loss was to handle, the offense had it's best day yet. It was actually dominating their defense in this shoot-out, and would have actually been enough to win the game without the turnovers. Of course many teams can claim as much about their losses. Turnovers are killers.

How easily the Panthers pulled away in the fourth quarter I don't see that as a win, but we'd surely be 3-2 with one of the league's top HC's. I get the feeling Khan wants to win the London game bad, and next week is a key divisional game against a team we should beat. If Gus can get this turned around immediately to reach a 3-4 record, he'll have narrowly saved his job. He'd still another 3 wins minimum on the season. I also say this fully knowing the Bills will probably whoop us, but that's what it will take to make up for this debacle in Tampa.

Probably the softest Jaguars team I've ever seen. Mike Peterson, Marcus Stroud and John Henderson are all shaking their heads.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Would that be the same front office that is 8-29 with Gus as HC and just lost 2 of the more winnable games in Gus' entire tenure here in Jax? That front office or another one?

Quote:I'm so sad that the London game is going to be another loss this year. I've seen two blowouts and before this season I was hoping I would be travelling down to a game we would win.

Sad

I've been travelling from Canada to Jacksonville once a year for the past 5 to see the jags play and haven't seen them win yet...The only wins I have seen live with them was in Detriot and Buffalo, which were both in the JDR/Garrard days.

You keep saying this.  This team has about 3 pieces in place.  The defense just gave up 200 yrds rushing to the buccaneers.  Our Dbs can't luck into an interception.  No one on d can tackle.  The oline gave up 6 sacks, and we avg about 3 inches a carry in the run game.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess.

Hell these pieces can't even go one game without a illegal formation on on Offense.

They had a 12 men on the field penalty yesterday, the damn dumbest penalty possible.
