Am I the only one who thinks Alabama might be #4?

Quote:They lost to Utah, which has 1 PAC12 win (Stanford) and USC was not ranked at the time of their game. Nitpick much?

Edit: you can't blame TOSU for northwestern's struggles after the fact.
If you can't blame them for the NW fall after the fact..how can you beat your chest about their ranking for plaing cupcakes??..the sword swings both ways! OSU has played NO top ten teams in the regular season since the very begining of the 2009 season....not exactly looking for tough games!

The BIG 10 schedule is set practically a decade in advance. For example, the schedule is currently set through 2019. Fact of the matter is that TOSU has played 2 top 25 teams this year. Hardly what I would call "playing nobody". First the argument was no one ranked, then no one top 15 and now no one top 10?

FSU has only played 2 top ten teams, and do you really think they expected Clemson to be top 10 when the schedule was made?

I honestly think it's FSU-Bama-Baylor-OSU.

Not that you don't have an argument. But Baylor trailed 14-0 and later 21-7, while TOSU has never trailed.

You are correct (sort of), that was my mistake. But actually, they only briefly trailed 20-13, then later by 23-20. Not as disappointing as Baylors 2 score trail.

Edit: I had forgotten of the trail by TOSU in that game

Quote:Now personally, I prefer to see things played out, but ohio state doesn't pass the eye test.  Baylor, bama and FSU do.
I would love to see things played out, but they won't. And how does Ohio State not pass the eye test, yet Bama does? Ohio State is winning with style.

Right. Ohio State wins by 25, doesn't pass eye test. Bama wins by 13 against 3rd string QB, passes eve test. There's no bias here. Lol

How much "with style" would the other top 10 teams have playing in the big 10/11/12.......probably a great deal!!!!

The 3rd string QB didn't come into the game until well into the 4th after Russell got injured while trying to tackle Ha-Ha on the interception return. Try being a little less dishonest next time, 'kay? :thanks:

Regardless. They didn't blast the 3rd stringer like they should have, and only won by 13. I didn't say he started the game

Nice spin bro

He only got one first down off of a face-mask penalty while not completing a pass, gained only 3 net yards and got sacked in 3 drives. I'd say that's blasting him. Also, the way you worded the other post gave to the assumption that he'd been playing most of the game.

So yeah, no spin going on here, just facts.

Not what he said.

Quote:Unranked because they aren't in the SEC where you can still be ranked with a loss. Northwestern was #15 when they played. What happens to the opponent after the match is not TOSU's fault. They handed northwestern their first loss.
At one point Florida was ranked. "Ranking at the time" is meaningless, particularly early in the season.

It's not set as Ohio St just got out of home and homes with Georgia and Tennessee. I think those were set for 16/17 and 18/19.

Really? So for example  Clemson's early season win over then ranked #5 Georgia is considered to be "meaningless"?

It's meaningless because pre-season rankings are terribly stupid, but the media needs something to talk about and networks need a reason to hype up games they broadcast, so there you go.

Wow I learn something new.

So Bama's wins vs TAMU and Ole Miss are meaningless since those 2 teams were ranked and came earlier in the season.

We can throw out Auburn's win(s) vs  "LSU" and Ole Miss since they were ranked early in the season as well?

The reason I went with my order is this-

FSU had dominated everyone they've played. Their offense is unbelievable good, as well as having a very good defense.

Bama probably has the most talent of any team in the nation currently. They're sorta of like FSU but with the offense and defense switched. Very good offense, awesome defense.

When Baylor is rolling, they cant be stopped on offense it seems. I think they could put up points on anyone.

OSU is a good team, but not great, IMO. They'll beat up on most teams, but I just don't thinkt hey can go toe-to-toe with the best.

We'll see if Alabama can handle the powerhouse that is Chattanooga this Saturday.

I think the two best teams are Florida State and Ohio State. Alabama plays nobody and still wins close.
