You're the one struggling here. Most of the people that I'm talking about? I talked about 2 people specifically. There's that pesky reading thing again.I was also thinking of John O when I said sports journalist, but I guess I should of seperated everyone covering the jaguars by their college degree instead of generalizing. Because lagemen was not stating an opinion he was berating Mike for using the term " paying customers". Lagemen didn't like it and basically pushed Mike into an argument. No, I didn't hear it. Based on what I've seen in this thread, Lageman was absolutely expressing an opinion, and what he was arguing with Dempsey about on the show today is no different than the discussion they've been having after every loss this year on any shows. The fans call in demanding Gus be fired, and because they're the "paying customers" they somehow think their opinion should carry more validity than anyone else. "Paying customers" shouldn't dictate what happens with the coaching situation here. The only thing that matters is where the team is at when it's time for those in a position to do so make a decision. The last time "paying customers" had any influence over franchise decisions, Weaver fired Tom Coughlin. Ask him how much he regrets that decision today. When he sold the team, he said it was the worst decision he ever made as an owner. No, I'm not comparing Gus to Tom. I'm simply saying that personnel decisions, whether on the field or with the staff, won't be dictated by fans complaining about it in the local media. I'm fairly certain that was Jeff's point as well. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

At least the Jaguars aren't losing 13-10! 38-31 is a lot more exciting. Even my wife - no NFL insider, lol - can see the improvement of Bortles and the offense as a whole. So, if you've got to lose ...
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

Who were the two people you were talking about? Lageman? Boselli? Neither are journalists, so keep trying. We're expected to read your mind to know who you're thinking about? You mentioned two people. Oehser is an actual journalist. You managed to stumble into one. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You would have had to have listened. Did he call the fans dumb? Serious question. Or, is that just how you interpreted it because he wasn't pandering to the pitchfork and torch mentality? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Sorry, but I will be that guy. You may want to whine and cry, but I know a five year old that gives me all of that I need. I want some adult conversation as to who would do better and why.Two people have mentioned their idea of who would be good replacements, and you ignore those posts and quote one you can argue with instead. So clearly you are not looking for adult conversation. They provide what you're asking for, and you ignore it so you can continue to claim that no one is making suggestions.
Quote:Did he call the fans dumb? Serious question. Or, is that just how you interpreted it because he wasn't pandering to the pitchfork and torch mentality? I was listening earlier, he called a caller (I believe the guy name was James) dumb, it was unprofessional considering the guy made a valid argument and wasn't over the top in doing so. Quote:Who were the two people you were talking about? Lageman? Boselli? Neither are journalists, so keep trying.Dude, those whole not being able to read comments were originally meant as an insult, but now Im seriously worried. Can you really not read? I'm really sorry if you cant, I didnt mean to pick on you for it. So you could tell that " most of the people you were talking about" ( your words ) don't have journalism degrees, yet now your saying you cant read my mind to know who I'm talking about? I didnt "stumble" into Oehser, I GENERALIZED. Use your googling skills on that word. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Dude, those whole not being able to read comments were originally meant as an insult, but now Im seriously worried. Nah, you stumbled. You threw Lageman and Boselli into the journalist category. Maybe you need to look up the word GENERALIZED. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:I was listening earlier, he called a caller (I believe the guy name was James) dumb, it was unprofessional considering the guy made a valid argument and wasn't over the top in doing so.I'm skeptical that he actually called a fan dumb. It's unfortunate they don't archive those shows so folks can listen. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Nah, you stumbled. You threw Lageman and Boselli into the journalist category. Maybe you need to look up the word GENERALIZED.Gen-er-al-i-zation noun a general statement or concept obtained by inference from specific cases. Ya see, "sports journalist" is the " general statement" the definition is talking about. The " specific cases " would be the Jacksonville Jaguars media in this example. There ya go buddy. I know this whole reading/ googling thing is kicking your [BAD WORD REMOVED], so just let me know and ill lend you some help. You should stumble into a book sometime. Just wondering, if I had called them commentators, would your poor brain shutdown because John O isnt a commentator?
He did call a fan dumb. And he called anyone who uses the teams record as an argument why Bradley should be fired ignorant.

Mistakes.... That cost us the game.... are unacceptable?? Quote:lol ... The Voice of the People! I thought that was Donald Trump.Lol good job addressing the post where I gave you examples on who should replace Bradley. But hey, when in doubt, just use lame comebacks. No one will notice that you're ignoring the actual point in an attempt to make yourself feel better. Quote:Dance however you need to dance to save face.Bahahahaha There wasn't even any of your so called "dancing" in that post. Seriously, what point did I dance around? You are literally too dumb to insult. Don't even worry about a helmet, you are WAY too far gone, your parents should of just took the trip to planned parenthood before you were allowed to escape the womb. Quote:He did call a fan dumb. And he called anyone who uses the teams record as an argument why Bradley should be fired ignorant. Yep, such a ridiculous take from a member of the Jax media. I'm not one to sit here in complain after every loss but I have no problem with fans who do, considering the ineptitude of this team over the last 10-15 years how can you blame them? Quote:I was listening earlier, he called a caller (I believe the guy name was James) dumb, it was unprofessional considering the guy made a valid argument and wasn't over the top in doing so. I heard that particular part of the segment. Lageman's tone was almost shockingly harsh, certainly defensive. I get his point about there being areas of improvement (i.e. Bortles and the passing game). Part of the problem of his argument is not once did he articulate how/when the incremental improvements that we ARE seeing (or SHOULD see, or in his case IS seeing) would turn into wins for the team. If the audience is having problems with what they are seeing from the team, and he is the analyst that doesn't see this team as being too far away, then tell the great unwashed among us what the team is missing to turn these close losses into wins against vulnerable teams. Tell us what it will take for this team to get over the hump. If you, as an analyst, don't offer the answer to that basic question and the reasoning behind it, then there is no reason to trash the fans (that one in particular) for wanting a change at coach. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Anyone that puts hard earned money into this [BAD WORD REMOVED] show has every right to complain. I think Jeff really screwed himself with that statement. |
