Who would you vote for today?

Quote:sounds like Rand should be your 1st and only option, if that's your positionrocdee, I'm not the only person who likes Rand and Sanders. Look one post below your own if you don't believe me. The two are diametrically opposed in a lot of areas, but at the end of the day, they end up sharing views in a few areas. Non-interventionist foreign policy and defense of the Fourth Amendment, for example. For some small-l libertarians (I guess I'm technically a big-L Libertarian too until I register to vote in TX) who lean left on social issues, like myself, that makes Sanders a very appealing candidate. If Paul's campaign pulls off a miraculous rebound and it's Paul v. Sanders in the general election, I'd pee myself with joy, but right now, Sander and his not-really-all-that-socialist socialist platform seems, to me at least, to be the best chance libertarians have of having someone in office who holds similar views on civil rights and liberties that we do. Quote:how is Sanders going to pay for free college and these federal minimum wage increases? He's already said he's going after the 1%. I don't agree with the man on everything, but if you look at the numbers, his plan won't work without increasing taxation on the billionaire class.

Sure they are far apart on lots of issues. People still don't see core similarities between Sanders and Paul. I've pointed out a lot a of progressives like Rand on very important issues. He'd 100% get my vote over probably all non Sanders Candidates from all parties. Some people don't understand not voting strictly on party lines.
Do you actually think that he's just going to go after the "1%"?
He's going to tax every bracket to death that's what they do And no matter what we say, he's a socialist. that's out of his own mouth. the problem with guys like sanders(besides his dream of a Utopia) is that he's removing all incentive for working hard and coming up. Why should I do everything that I can to obtain to a certain level if he is going to make me pay for it? Un-American
Quote:Do you actually think that he's just going to go after the "1%"? I don't think you understand who Sanders is at all as a person. You disagree with his policies and those of left wingers in general I imagine and that's fine but Sanders is who he says he is and doesn't fabricate things just to stir up the base like some other top contenders in the spot light right now. Quote:Do you actually think that he's just going to go after the "1%"?I'll respond in more depth when I get back from the DMV (so, next week), but the simple answer is this: do you really believe Ted Cruz when he says that he can fix the economy by lowering taxes and increasing spending in immigration, military, etc. sectors?
Ben Carson is the only one that I would vote for out of that list. The good majority I would never vote for.
If a gun was held to my head and I was told they would pull the trigger if I didn't vote for Hilary....I'd reach up and pull the trigger myself. I could not bring myself to vote for that woman.
Quote:@boudreaumw,Off the top of my head, Fiorina ranting about a video that's doesn't exist. At least not in the vein she claimed it did. I'm not implying you havnt listened to him. I'm just saying hes a genuine person. He answers questions and his answers are his positions. It's not pandering but genuinely what he thinks. If his answer to tuition is to place a specific tax then that is his intention. That's all I'm saying. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:The Donald encourages all Dems to vote for Sanders. Dems encourage all repubs to vote for Trump. It's interesting how perspective influences opposing views.
Rand is my first choice
After that I'm making choices in priorities. If sander wasn't so freaking drunk on spending money and raising taxes he'd be my second choice we agree on the NSA and foreign policy bi damn he just goes to far with wanting to socialize the economy. That leaves me either Cruz, Rubio or Kasich as options
Sanders is an evil person. He wants to rob people to give to others. He's not even on my Big Board

Quote:Do you actually think that he's just going to go after the "1%"? Corporate inversion and high corporate taxation will prevent the top 1% of ever giving their "fair share". The only way to actually get money out of the ultra-wealthy class is to bring their corporations away from the Bahamas and back into the American taxation system through lower corporate taxes and more incentives (or move to a consumption-based taxation system with no corporate taxes). Unfortunately most Democrats aren't very studious when it comes to economics, so rather than actually getting the "fair share" from the top 1% they will overtax the existing corporations in America who can't afford to move overseas (ie small-to-medium size business) and raise taxes on the middle-to-upper-middle class.

what else do you call someone who wants to rob wealthy people under the guise of them paying their "fair share" to give to other people?
problem with socialism is that it has never worked and that you eventually run out of other people's money he's a scumbag who looks like a mad scientist We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:what else do you call someone who wants to rob wealthy people under the guise of them paying their "fair share" to give to other people? I can't wait for you in depth analysis on all the candidates level of evil. I am sure it will be just as illuminating. Go for it let me know who's not evil in your opinion. It is interesting to see which side throws around terms like evil when they don't like a policy stance.
Quote:I asked you a question, brother. I don't have a term for it but I would call someone like that a person trying to fix what he percieves as a problem where those you say he is robbing from are the ones that have been doing the robbing. |
