Put this guy on IR where he belongs, and wait'll next year.

Quote:You're the delusional one if you think our WR corps is even in the top 20 in the league
The Jacksonville Jaguars 2015 receiving corps is currently ranked 13th best in the league according to NFL.com.  I'm not a math wizard, but I'm pretty sure 13th would be in the top 20, and arguably the best output we've gotten from a receiving corps since probably Keenan and Jimmy were here.  Evidently even the NFL is delusional.

Hopefully Lee will be ready to roll within the next couple of games and on fire after the bye. As for "DF56", I see him being ready from day one of the 2016 season or earlier. If I said this once I've said it a million times. When our team gets truly healthy, we'll be an force to be desired to say the least...

NH3...
Agree as well regarding Fowler.  If you go back and look at the mock drafts that were out there leading up to the draft, most had the Jaguars taking Fowler, or one of the other pass rush specialists.  Fowler was considered the best of the pass rush guys coming into the draft.  He was the right pick.  The injury was certainly unfortunate, but that can't be taken into account for anyone except the hindsight wannabe GMs on this board.

Lee is dealing with a hamstring.  I know some here think it's cute to call him soft as baby food, or whatever label they'd like to apply.  We don't know the severity of the injury, but these types of injuries, especially hamstring injuries, can linger for an entire season. Lee isn't going to be able to get healthy until the get to the end of this season to allow it to rest.  Until then, it's going to be an issue.  Anyone thinking he's soft for that is more than welcome to give themselves a similar injury, then go out and try to do what he does on a daily basis to see how quickly you return from a hamstring.  All the training and medical assistance on the planet isn't going to magically heal a hami 100%.  The only thing that will is rest.  You don't have the opportunity for that during the course of the season.

With that said, put the guy on IR, and wait until next year.

Hopefully with a full year of rest and rehab, he can come back 1000% healthy and be a contributor, not a gut that give it "The Ol College Try" & ends up hurt again.

This guy wasn't even healthy in college.

I'd have no issue with putting him on the IR, but they clearly feel they can get something out of him season since they haven't done so.

I'm not so sure with ML, he's been injury prone ever since he became an adult.

I'd rather see the team just shut him down, so he can get the attention & care he needs to get healthy.

This injury goes back to the OTAs/Training Camp with him.

Like I said, hamstring injuries, especially for quick twitch guys like Lee who rely on their speed and agility tend to cause a lot more struggle until they're fully healed.  When he finally gets healthy, he'll be fun to watch.  Developing a regimen that will allow him to stay on the field is going to be critical moving forward for him.

He will get plenty of time to recover from his hamstring in the offseason. He won't get the opportunity to get some quality experience this season if he goes on IR.

As long as there is a potential for him to get healthy this season, we need to keep him available.

I don't think this year is a Superbowl one for us Jags fans (understatement).  Put Lee on the IR to fully recover for next year, assuming the training staff also believes he won't be 100% anytime soon. With Walters playing well, Washington's ability to play if needed, and Greene coming back soon from IR, I would like to see Neal Sterling get signed until Greene gets back and get some live bullets (score permitting).

I go back and forth on this, but I think I'm with fbt in regards to keeping the option open for lee to possibly play this season.

It's hard to be mad at him sitting out. I had a similar nagging hamstring injury when I played soccer in high school. It has to be one of the most annoyingly painful injuries. It's deceiving too. Just when you think it's getting better it's starts to flare up and it starts all over again. I would have used the IR desig to return on him but it's been used.

post something when he's healthy... now THAT will be news! In the mean time, put him on IR and forget about him until next year. He's a waste of a roster spot right now.

not to derail the thread but i think there's a bit of a misconception about Fowler. He was the most well rounded edge defender in that draft not necessarily the best pass rusher. i think people expecting him to be a force rushing the passer from the outside will be sorely disappointed. his best fit is at otto.

Looking back at Lee's history, it looks like had few if any injuries until his junior year at USC. That spring was also when he stopping competing for the USC track and field team. He used to be a sprinter and long jumper.

Given this is no means an exact science, but at this point, I almost wonder if the crosstraining for track and field helped his body type more so from a conditioning standpoint more than a full football-centric off season workout scheme. At this point, I almost see no reason not try to go that route, if they have not already done so.
