Vegas Odds Houston @ Jacksonville

Quote:Those odds are pretty much the same as the opening line that I posted. I don't see any movement and I don't see either team really being favored. Its the same now. On Monday the odds on that particular site showed as a PK game. Technically speaking, it still is.

Quote:Its the same now. On Monday the odds on that particular site showed as a PK game. Technically speaking, it still is. It is. Technically speaking the home team usually is considered to get 3 points by virtue of being the home team. With the Jaguars at -1.10 that pretty much means that the "spread" is a 1 point game. I usually look at the odds on the site that I posted because they put the odds up in fractions, and there is a reason for that. As an example, if you use just the Jaguars -1, then if the score ended up say 12-10 in favor of the Jaguars there is no winner (as far as betting goes). There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
"-1.1" doesn't make any sense. Odds are always either whole or half numbers. I've looked at several places and they all have the Jaguars at either -2 or -2 1/2.

Some places will round the number, but it's always a fraction to eliminate the possibility of a push. At least that is what I have always been told. There are 10 kinds of people in this world.
