Is this the worst Jacksonville Defense of all time?

Pick sixes are a fair argument. They can erase a lot of good you have done throughout a game.

Quote:Pick sixes are a fair argument. They can erase a lot of good you have done throughout a game. Farve and Manning have thrown the most pick 6's in NFL history..... This is old and Peyton has 3 this year too..... The scheme is the problem.
We have an extra player in the box (SS) to stop the run in a league with rules that favor the passing game. We have one less player in the secondary playing that idiotic single high scheme so teams can eat up large chunks at a time. We have a defensive scheme designed to stop the run in a passing league. That's like wearing hiking boots to the beach-it's just plain stupid.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays. Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
Quote:This defense is good...minus the pass rush, secondary, and tackling.....oh wait. Well, they do make up for their lack of speed by not tackling.
So bad. 99 yrd drives. 23 missed tackles. 1 int through 6 games. Qbs qb rating has to avg out to about 100 against us. We give up 3rd and 14s like they are easy.
Extremely disappointed in the D. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Not the worst but this defense sure could use upgrades in all the position groups.
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011 Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.
McCray was the best CB last year by far and now he can't even get on the field. Why?
"I'm not mad, I'm proud of you. You took your first pinch like a man and you learn two great things in your life. Look at me, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut." - Jimmy Conway
Everyone and their grandmother knows he's our best corner its funny because he's even our highest rated corner on madden. It's bad when madden ratings are handled better than your personal decisions smh

I asked this earlier in another thread: why can't our best CB get on the field?

Quote:Hahahahaha!!! Yeah, you keep holding on to him being the best corner.McCray owned Hopkins last year but that's none of my business
While watching the Texans game, I thought Devon House would have been OK against a slower receiver. DeAndre Hopkins was too fast for him at times, but he clearly was making an effort and did make some good plays. Certainly McCray could have done a good job too, but there must be a reason House covered him instead.

Quote:I have to say yes,. We are at the bottom of almost every statistical category. We make mediocre QB's look like all pro's and we can't create a turnover to save our lives. I say this is worst then the 95 expansion defense. Just pathetic across the board. Its the DBs been saying that for years..
Quote:Shows how bad of a coach Gus is. Our best corner don't even play If McCray was our best cornerback he would play. Bradley made the switch after quickly figuring out he is better than Gratz. Obviously McCray is not our best cornerback this season.
Quote:And Brown was benched before Cyp. This staff is full of idiots. Cyprien was injured. Brown was not benched, just not needed to start anymore. |
