Lonnie Ballentine
|
The lack of coverage on this guy is ridiculous. NFL.com never reported anything. Even the Texans official website only has a headline that they put him on IR (with no accompanying article). SI.com also does not have any leg injury reports. Ballentine had to be immobilized and taken directly to a hospital, so I am surprised there have been no reports about him since he was carted off. Am I missing something?
As much as I hated losing the way we did, my pick for worst part of the game was that injury timeout. I still think about it. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
He's not in the league of Johnny Manziel, RG3, Odel Beckam jr, that's why.
I'm sure he's alive and going to be ok.
Quote:Do you really want them showing his injury on TV? I don't mean that. I just want to see a report online - no need for any graphic images. Did the surgery go OK? What is his prognosis? Stuff like that.

Quote:Scared to click on the links. lol.. I am not. My point was because the injury is so severe Ballentine is done for the year after being carted off, I was expected NFL.com to report it. The website reports a lot of season-ending injuries, surgeries, and hospitalizations. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:He tore his MCL, PCL, and dislocated his knee cap. C'mon, man. Players can walk off the field under their own power with those injuries. Wow NYC. Everything that happened during the injury timeout made me think he broke his leg. He will have to start next season on PUP.

No. A person with a dislocated knee would be in intense pain. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patellar_dislocation

I'm tellin' y'all. We have got to be gettin' trolled here. Got to be.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:No. A person with a dislocated knee would be in intense pain. I've suffered a dislocated kneecap, and you wanna talk about something that doesn't look (or feel) right when your kneecap is around on the side of your leg. Slid into third base and the dirt was a bit damp and my knee just stuck in the dirt pretty much absorbing all 220 pounds and ripped that sucker right out of the socket. Yowee. Hadn't thought about that in a while. Funny thing was, we were playing against the Upper Dublin Fire Department and EMTs so the ambulance was right there. ![]()
Quote:Are you trying to use sarcasm here? Of course not. You know I hate that, right? I actually have seen them do it - not normally, but able to put their weight on the injured leg. And I have dislocated both patellas four times each. Quote:No. A person with a dislocated knee would be in intense pain. The whole knee being dislocated makes walking impossible, but just the patella popping out only forces a person to walk with a straight leg (done by rotating the hip). I know this from personal experience. So the terminology here is very important. |
