London Week - Injury Updates:

#21

Quote:Grab a football.  Call a 240 pound friend.

When he gets to your house, run out in the front yard with the ball tucked into your ribs as one should.

With a running start, leap in the air and land with the football just under your pectoral muscle.

Have your buddy immediately jump and land on top of you.

Then get back to us.

(i doubt it keeps him off the field Sunday)
lol like this doesn't happen on every single play in the NFL dude. Get a grip.

I feel like I'm one of the very few posters actually retaining a grip these days.

Guess what...  NFL players break ribs and tear rib cartilage landing on footballs.  It happens plenty.  Sorry you were unaware.

As I stated before -- I'd be surprised if it keeps him out of the game but it has him unlikely to practice right away.

Seems like a really stupid reason to get up in arms and insulting.  But, troll away there, chief.

Not trolling.

If it's so common, why are they reporting it and how come I have never ever heard of this?

Seriously??  You've never banged up a rib or two being tackled with a football in your hands?  You never played in the backyard as a kid?

Just watching 4 or 5 games each week I see a replay or two where someone is slow to get up or trots to the sideline holding their ribcage after landing on the ball. Jeez, dude.  I'm not making this junk up.  It happens.  Wow.

I wouldn't have him make the trip either.  I hear the change in altitude and flying can cause complications with hamstring concussions.

I really hope Lee can come back strong after the bye so all of these knee-jerking, moaning babies will just stop.

The kid is talented and very fast.  I'll wait on him to get healthy, thank you.

Yes, I know. Apparently Gus did not coach him to land properly when he got tackled while holding on to the football. smh.

Only a Jaguar player could possibly miss a game because of landing on the football wrong.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I would venture to guess that they never actually used "landing on the ball" as causing a possible rib injury. They would just list rib injury and say it happened during the last game.

A rib injury from landing in the ball happens. It's not broken, so he should play.

If he sits out because of it, expect fans to voice their concerns. And in all honesty, who would blame them?

Yeah. Like I already said twice  --  I doubt he sits out on game day over some tender ribs.  Wait... why am I hungry now?

:teehee:

I'm going to Bono's.

BTW  -   Just saw this. Thomas did practice today despite the tweet on his injury - but he was "non-contact"    Good bet he plays Sunday with a bit of extra pad-gear around the ribs/sternum.
