NFL.com article: "Jacksonville Jaguars showing promising growth despite 1-5 start."

Quote:I left out Green Bay because their coaching history isn't a turnstile. Those fans aren't known to run coaches out of town. It was a poor example on your part. So your saying that the packers would tolerate an 8-30 record and keep the same coach? You're kidding right? No fan base would tolerate the amount of garbage you're asking this fan base to tolerate. You don't even know what your point is. Is it too hard to ask to think before you post? Quote:I left out Green Bay because their coaching history isn't a turnstile. Those fans aren't known to run coaches out of town. It was a poor example on your part.I made a comment, it was your choice to delve into it. Again, the Jets and Eagles were an example of EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE NFL. Point and laugh? Validation? Where the hell are you getting this? My teams record validates my point. I need no further validation. Quote:We should have won the last 3 games. Agreed. The way the team is being prepared and coached is actually hurting the team. The more this "wins and losses aren't always the most important thing" mindset stays here, the softer the players get. We need a coach that makes players feel a little pressure. One of these years.............
Quote:Not a bad read at all and I totally get it and agree, however the one thing that pops into my head is "this team is built" which we knew it wasnt considering the D needed help. Which has now put egg all over our face with how horrible the D has played. I think you have to put that "built" comment into proper context and look at the ENTIRE quote. Just because they're saying the team is built doesn't mean it's going to magically get better. Gus was pretty clear that it's built, and now the players need to recognize that, buy into the process, and take that next step in their progression. Being built and being better are not synonymous, and Gus/Dave never said they were. The defense is definitely struggling, but how much of that can be attributed to having zero pass rush, and how much of that can be tied to injuries? It's not like they didn't focus on improving the pass rush this off season. Unfortunately, they lost the guy they were putting a lot of expectation in to help in that regard to IR, and their best defensive lineman only got back on the field in a limited role last week. We've also seen our secondary decimated by one injury after another, and we've had injuries to our LB corps as well. It's been like a MASH unit for the defense this year. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You're kidding right? No fan base would tolerate the amount of garbage you're asking this fan base to tolerate. I think you missed my point. As far as what you asked earlier, there are enough question marks for me on Gus that we could do better at the head coaching position. I'm a bigger believer in Caldwell even though Gus is his responsibility. I want to keep Caldwell. If Gus gets fired than it is from his own doing. Quote:Yay, we're built, but we still suck. Process working guys! Year 3 has always been pointed to as the turning point. We're 6 games into the season. There's a lot of football left to be played for the improvements to start to gain a foothold. If it doesn't happen, there will be changes this coming off season. Considering where this team was a year or two ago, the progress is there. It hasn't resulted in wins yet, but they'll eventually start to happen. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The more this "wins and losses aren't always the most important thing" mindset stays here, the softer the players get. We need a coach that makes players feel a little pressure. That's the bottom line. It's a loser's mentality. Wins are all that matter in the NFL. Bradley will do fine coaching HS or division III college ball. But his schtick is clearly not working in the NFL. It's not helping our team. We need a hard nosed coach. No more of this pantie waste, girls club. How much you wanna bet, if we get a tough disciplinarian in here, we'll actually see injuries go down? Sometimes I wonder if some of these injuries are because of how soft this coach is on his players. You build toughness. Or you build weakness. This coaching is building a bunch of weaklings that are mentally soft. Look at Marcedes Lewis. Guys a joke, but he thinks he grinds. Please. I'm still optimistic about a 6-8 win season, that shows growth and a platform toward actually contending next season, when the majority of us thought was more likely. The early part of this season has been rough to say the least, but there is a lot of football left. Jumpers beware, you may have leapt too soon. Quote:I made a comment, it was your choice to delve into it. I can see this is going to be like talking to JFC. Only so many ways you can say the same thing.
Quote:I think you missed my point. Thanks for clarifying. Sorry about missing the point. I think there are degrees of frustration with Bradley. You're clearly not as frustrated as I am with him! LOL. I can respect that and your patience. I'm not quite there though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I've warned you. You're not dealing with a thinker here.Says the guy that gets absolutely destroyed in every thread. Talk about running out of clever things to say. Quote:Gus does his best work after the bye.... As frustrating as the early part of the season has been, I see quite a bit to be encouraged by. We've started to identify the guys who will be the foundation for the turnaround when it happens with Robinson, Hurns, and Bortles. We're seeing other players who are also starting to step up and show their value. Has it resulted in wins yet? No, but you can clearly see the team is getting better, and as key players come back from injury and knock off the rust, that improvement should continue. The area where improvement is less likely during this season is in finding an edge rusher. We're simply going to have to get more creative about how we rush the passer in order to try to affect the QB. If we can do that, the secondary will magically start to look a whole lot better. There is a lot of football left to play for this team, and more than enough opportunity to show that things are headed in the right direction. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You're clearly not as frustrated as I am with him! LOL. Believe me I'm frustrated. We and this board is exhibite A, go about it in different ways. I'd prefer to have meaningful discussions, but the majority of angry fans are still talking about ice cream, sprinkles and the overall record. I'm not sure how people don't get tired typing the same thing every time. Maybe they save the comments and just copy/paste? I'm not necessarily referring to you btw. Quote:Says the guy that gets absolutely destroyed in every thread. The fact that you believe that pretty much proves my point. You're not much of a thinker, and that's being generous. If it doesn't happen, there will be changes this coming off season. If we had lost to even mediocre teams these last 3 weeks, I could see where you are coming from. But we are losing to the dregs of the league. We are looking competitive for a half against the likes of the Colts, Bucs, and Texans with our one win coming against a pitiful Dolphins team. We had our measuring stick game against the Patriots and got throttled. The only game I'm not embarrassed about how we lost is the Panthers game. The question is, if we don't beat the second string of the Bills, when do we get a win? Is that the point where we can officially call this regime a failure? Because if we don't beat the Bills, I don't see many wins on the horizon. One of these years.............
