If you think that we're playing for the "future" then it makes no sense to keep starting Clemons or Branch.  They're both horrible and will "hopefully" not be stinking up the roster next year.  

 

You give up nothing by seeing if Smith and Davis are capable of holding down the fort for the rest of the season to see if they're at least part of the solution in the future.  

 

It's not like the team is winning games anyway.  What harm could it do to go with the younger players?  

 

Heck, you might as well get rid of Clemons and pick up someone off a practice squad or something to see if you can get a potential backup.  He's obviously not going to get better at age 34....

I haven't noticed any glaring plays with him being beat, and that's often a good sign of a corner playing well.
