Am I the only one who thinks Alabama might be #4?

Which wins? Week one Bama played VT, unranked, even worse now. Does nothing for their SOS.

They beat A&M, #7 at the time, 12 now, SOS still helped a lot by A&M.

They beat Mississippi, #21 at the time, now 24, still helped in SOS.

Early season ranked teams for Auburn were LSU in week 4, at the time 6, currently LSU is 22, SOS would certainly be helped much more if ranked higher.

Week 6 was Mississippi, at the time 24, currently 24. SOS affected relatively the same.

Same for that Clemson win over Georgia. At the time Georgia was 5, now unranked. The SOS is affected greatly for Clemson here.

I'm not sure where you lose this at? And again, I never said a win is meaningless, but your comprehension is horrendous.

Quote:There is a specific reason why I said "win(s)", and put LSU in quotation marks.

Humor me then and explain. Especially since you could've used A&M since that's a game they actually won and it happened before the BCS rankings came out.

Alabam might appear to be #4, but when it comes down to winning... they are still #1... Someone needs to go beat them and disrupt all that success.... WAR EAGLE!!!!!

That is going to be a very good game. Offensively Auburn has gotten it into gear. Malzahn has the offense rolling and Ol Ellis has the defense coming around too.

Never would have guessed that before the season, especially after that tight opener against Wazzu.

How about we stick to my original quote you responsed to.

Auburn was rewarded for their loss to LSU, because wait for it........

LSU was highly ranked at the time.

Actually I got the point, but I brought up a link to disprove one of your points.

Do I have the comprehension of a 16 instead of a 15 year old?

Why was Auburn rewarded ? Ranking at the time of a game doesn't mean anything. It has zero to do with SOS.

If a team is #10 in Week 4 (hypothetical numbers), loses its next game, and is #9 in Week 5, how can you say that team was not rewarded for losing?

That doesn't happen.

Actually, when it comes down to winning, Ohio State is #1. They've been undefeated for two years. They deserve it just as much as Alabama if not more.

Exactly. Ohio State currently owns the nation's longest winning streak at 22 games. All 12 games from last year are included in the record books.

Yup....accomplished by not playing a top 15 team in that entire span....which is why they didn't get to play for a NC and won't this year either. ...
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.
