Lonnie Pryor Signs with Tampa Bay

TMD whoever they would have hired you would be complaining about.  That I know.

In your opinion who should they have hired?

You know absolutely nothing about football.  It is quite comical you spend so much time on football message boards.  I think it might be time to give up.

Go to the Books a Million look for some football for beginners books and read up a little.

Duffner has been coaching football for 38 years.  He has been a head coach for 11 years.  He has 22 years of NFL coaching experience.

Todd Walsh coached on the Seahawks last year.  Didn't those players produce?

What did think was going to happen?  Bradley come in and hire Monte Kiffin as D coordinator?  Oh wait the Cowboys did that and their defense sucks.

Quote:You were wrong about Sullivan when Mularkey hired him. You didn't like the hire, and you said he wasn't a good coach anymore.

Why aren't you willing to wait a year or two before judgement?

...based on his last 4 years in San Fran (when I made those comments) that was accurate. However, he's been a good WR coach since he's been here.

lol....who cares how much "experience" Duffner has if the result here has been pretty much zero LB development. The only young LB that has developed under Duffner is Daryl Smith.

oh, and its Todd "Wash", Einstein...yeah, he was so good that the Seahawks let him leave for a lateral position. That happens -all- the time with quality assistants, huh?...

You're the last person on this board who should be criticizing other board members. I'd be surprised if you could accurately describe what a football looks like.

Wow.

Great take on Lonnie Pryor.

I'm going to take a wild stab and say that Pryor decided to go to the Bucs because he saw a greater chance for immediate playing time because of all the RB injuries that they have sustained.

I know, call me crazy.

Bradley said as much yesterday. Bradley said he could not guarantee him the playing time that Tampa could. Tampa is on their fourth string runner so that isn't a surprise.

It isn't about the coaching staff or anything like that. TMD is just so desperate to twist anything into a negative about the team. It's very, very bizarre.

It shows how bad things have been around here that its major news worthy of multiple segments on sports radio and multiple pages on the team site when another team signs someone from the Jags practice squad.

It is only because he is from FSU and a very likeable guy.

Hahaha. Your right experience means nothing. Nothing at all.

Go play with your barbies. They miss you.

You are a complete tool. And know zero about football. It's ok it's not for everybody. Were you even picked in sandlot football? You were prob the guy who would keep score and praise the best player in the neighborhood. It's time to find a new hobby.

I guess I should have typed in crayon, it might have been easier for you to relate...

All that experience, and still a very shoddy resume in player development. Hence, what are you really getting from all that experience?

I'd put my football acumen and skill even at my age (because you are clearly a late teen, tops as ignorant as you are) , against what I perceive yours to be, anyday of the week. Your above quote reeks of projection so much its ridiculous. You're the posterchild for the age/ IQ/ post count requirements before one can be allowed to post.

Haha ok TMD.

Do you ever come up with something of your own?

Type it crayon?  How many times have you posted that in the past 2 weeks.  It is getting old.

Dude a three girl has more football acumen than you do.

I love people who are in complete denial.  It is hilarious.

Let's start with the basics.  The first thing you need to learn is they play this game on a football field.  It is a big rectangle of grass and it has lines painted on it.  There are numbers also.  There are two end zones.  Have to start somewhere.

The last sentence coming from a guy who has 40,826 of pure crap should talk.  Keep up Mad Dog.  You are behind in this one.

Well... someone signed someone off our practice squad.  Someone who did not make the roster.  As in... someone who we felt couldn't start on our 1-9 team.  Some other team grabbed them up and signed them.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:Maybe he sees that our coaching staff generally sucks (other than Jerry Sullivan) , and thinks he has a better chance to be successful elsewhere.

(his point of view) hence the "maybe".

"His point of view"? I don't think Pryor is some delusional internet megalomaniac.

Pryor went to Tampa because they promised him playing time. Something Bradley could not do here. But that wouldn't fit into your bizarre anti-Jaguar narrative.

"*Bradley said he spoke with fullback Lonnie Pryor before Pryor signed to Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ active roster this week. Pryor had been on the Jaguars’ practice squad, and Bradley said he and General Manager David Caldwell wanted to sign Pryor to the active roster to avoid losing Pryor. Bradley said Pryor signed with Tampa under the assumption he will play immediately. “I could not make that promise to him,” Bradley said. “I couldn’t look Lonnie in the eye and tell him that. I said, ‘We can try, but I cannot make that statement.’ I think it’s important for integrity. I want players to understand when I talk to them about these things it’s going to be the truth.”

Well see, the issue was with Bradley.  A real coach would have tried to be a 'buddy to the players' and lied to him and told him that he was going to play.

Oh wait, that's what Bradley is supposed to be doing.  I get the stories mixed up.

Actually, if they really did both want to keep Pryor, then it was really stupid of Bradley to not just give the kid what he wants - some guaranteed playing time right away......we're 1 and friggin 9, its not like playing Pryor risks anything if he doesn't do well.

But wait....I thought it was the assistants.

Damn, now I'm really confused.  I can't keep this all straight.  I don't know how you do it.  Must be the years of practice.

If you were reaching any further on this one, your arm would fall off.

But hey, at least you provide comic relief for this board.

Can't you just imagine the Locker Room's collective reaction if Ol' Gus did what he suggested?!?!

Gus: "Hey guys. Look, Lonnie over there wants to go sign somewhere else. I know that I've been preaching to you guys about getting better and competing and all of that, but if we don't get Lonnie some playing time, he's gonna leave. So what we're going to do, by any amount of inspection, is to make a bad situation worse. I know, I know; it looks crazy and possibly even traitorous from your perspecitve, but we're gonna let Lonnie here run the ball a few times so that he can stick on the roster."

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
