Trade deadline

Quote:So we aren't one pick away so don't try to get better? In a division up for grabs? Gotcha.

The talent on the team is getting better and it's via mostly the draft.  You don't build a long-term contender by giving away draft picks which are the life blood of a well-ran NFL franchise.

And yes, the division is up for grabs, but that's only because it's arguably the worst division in the NFL which isn't saying much.

Quote:I agree about Willie Young but Curry is a legit instant, young impactful upgrade.
Which raises the very real question of how much the Eagles would want for him. He was a second-round pick, after all. My concern is that the Eagles would be looking for a fourth-round pick when, honestly, I don't think Curry is worth that much right now.

bring back jeremy mincey for a 7th.

You also don't win games if you can't get pressure on the QB. So yeah, lets hold onto those 6th and 7th round picks who will be on the practice squad next year instead of an instant upgrade to help us here and now. Great idea.

Chip Kelly has said that Curry being traded hasn't been discussed.

Barkevious Mingo would be the only guy (of the ones rumored to be on the block) that I would go after. Seems like he would be perfect for the LEO spot. Go sign Eric Weddle and Alex Mack in the offseason if you want them.

I hope we don't look at Mack or Weddle.

Exactly.  Keep your picks, sign your players you want, then lets make a run at the thing. It's not happening this year, sorry folks.

If Caldwell can use a late round pick to fortify his pass rush, do it.  But, don't do it if the guy is only a half season patch.

Lol, they're gonna try and get Gabbert killed.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Browns?src=hash'>#Browns</a> are motivated sellers. I’m told they’d be willing to pay some of OLB Paul Kruger’s (prorated) $7M salary to complete a deal.

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Looks like they just want Kruger gone, so he may be someone to keep an eye on.

Just heard Jason Mccourty is available. Would definitely do this.

Good luck trading with a division rival. McCourty is going to New England to play with his brother. The Titans are getting a head start on blowing it all up. Wouldn't be surprised if they start tanking.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

<p style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">The most active market is at DE. Names teams are interested in: Vinny Curry, Willie Young, Jeremy Mincey. Will their teams let them go?
