Any players on our roster that would deem worthy for a player for player trade? I'm not sure what the Bears weaknesses are.

The only player I would say that is tradeable that the Bears may want is D.McCray but I doubt we give him up

They could use a RB with Forte injured, but Pierce/Gerhart don't have enough value for a 1:1 swap.

Kruger from the brownies probably could be had for a 6th straight up. Brownies even willing to eat some contract.

I don't see any logical reasons we should make a trade.  Caldwell is committed to building through the draft.  As Vic used to say, picks not players.  It's not like we are one player away from competing for the Super Bowl.

 

I get that "concept", but next season is DC's 4th year. 6th and 7th rounders *shouldn't* be making this roster at that point, especially if we continue to add more players through FA (like he claimed was the plan before). One of our 7th rounders was on PS all season long and the other was cut. Bennett has barely played as a 6th rounder. Storm Johnson, our 7th rounder last season has been cut. Jeremy Harris is gone, and McCray is buried in the depth chart.

 

We got a 6th rounder from Pittsburgh in addition to our own.

 

I wouldn't part ways for a rental, but if a guy that still has promise and is productive can be had especially at pass rush where we are in dire dire needs, you make the deal.

Your logic of Dave Caldwell having a 1/3 chance of hitting a Telvin Smith type player in the 5th is complete nonsense. Saying those are "just facts" is just silly. Thats like saying if that had been Caldwell's first draft, he would have a 100% chance of selecting a Telvin Smith type player in the 5th.
