No way to watch TNF anymore?

Quote:Right, why watch shows and live performances on small mobile devices when you have a 42-inch television? No brainer there which one is more fun to watch - the one with a big picture, of course.
Again... which I've said multiple times. Just plug the damn device into the big tv. It's not that hard.

So much freaking complaining, from a lot of people. I can't get Sunday Ticket either yet I have no problem watching any game I want.

Sure, but I would have had to purchase something to do that. I thought the high price of the NFL ticket covered me for the games, but no, now I have to pay more. Oh, and pay more for crappier service. The idea was horrible. The NFL did a horrible job, Yahoo did a horrible job, it sucked. It stunk.

Do you have a HD tv? Do you have a computer made in the past 10 years? Take that same HDMI cable from your TV and plug it in your computer. Done.

If you don't have a HD tv or a modern computer then you really have no one to blame but yourself. Or should I say irony of complaining about something when you don't have the technology to even watch it the classic way.

You act like everyone puts the TV and computer in the same room. Obviously with a desktop instead of a laptop, that is not possible here.

Prattle on about what I should have all you want, but the only thing I should have is what I paid for. Hope my point didn't mess up your hair as it flew over your head.

Move the computer or TV for a few hours?

Honestly, the complaint is just plain laziness of wanting to do anything but turn on the tv.

This game reached an unprecedented number of people, there's literally no downside to that IMO. As for TNF football, there are simple ways to watch it, hell just go to freaking Applebee's if it's so hard to get it at home.

Your point made no sense bc if you have Sunday Ticket then your TV already has all the necessary equipment to plug a device into it to watch the Yahoo game on it.

Swing and a miss, but I'll bite, because this should be fun. What equipment is that exactly?

As an out of market fan, I purchase the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch and record all Jags games. Wait, correction....15 Jags games this year.

The point I was trying to make was the one of having to buy more equipment. The cost of Sunday Ticket and them not offering the game was irrelevant to what I was getting at.

I don't think it was a horrible idea. My stream worked perfectly. I thought it was a great experience and unique way to showcase the Jags.

Back to the equipment point. If you have Sunday Ticket, you are connecting that DirecTV box with an HDMI cable. Take that same cable and connect the comp you the tv. Done, no extra equipment.

If you want to get into price, sure I'll agree the Yahoo game probably should have been bundled in the Sunday Ticket. It makes sense. Is it that horrible that there was one game that wasn't included but you could watch for FREE anyway?

YOUR stream worked perfectly. YOU have Sunday Ticket. Call yourself very lucky. I have already explained several times why MANY people can't do that and therefore it is a terrible idea. Stop thinking just because YOU can do something it is doable for every other out of market Jaguars fan.

I don't have Sunday Ticket...

If I need to stop thinking it's a good idea bc it worked for me, then you need to stop thinking it's a bad idea bc it didn't work for you. It goes both ways.

I don't think the streaming idea is horrible, unless it excludes people paying for service. Why is that so hard for you to understand? And what is really irrelevant is what equipment one needs to watch a crap streaming game. I pay for a service and I shouldn't need anything beyond what is required for that service, and that includes an internet connection.

But back to equipment, you're wrong, unless you'd like to tell me how to plug an HDMI cable into a tablet. Maybe next year, I can cancel the NFL Ticket and use that money to buy a laptop so I can watch one game instead of fifteen. Seems smart, yes?

Actually, he doesn't have the Ticket. And that's who I argue the most with about this topic. People who want stuff for free at the expense of people who pay.

I'm in agreement that it should be included in the Sunday Ticket. I think DirecTV's stranglehold on the service is outrageous and no game should be excluded from those paying such a high price for it.

I think the streaming idea is a great idea that could either end the need to pay for a Sunday Ticket service, or allow the NFL to allow other providers to showcase similar, cheaper services.

As for the tablet. You're right. I assumed most have a desktop or laptop. Or those without usually have a chrome cast, Apple tv, smart tv, etc capable of using Yahoo Screen or casting from the device. So I was definitely wrong there so I do apologize for that.

To me, it just seems weird of people complaining about a free game. I 100% agree that it shouldn't be EXCLUDED from Sunday Ticket and didn't mean to imply otherwise. I would wager there were far more people able to watch the Jags through the stream then there would have been through traditional outlets. Getting the team out there for more millions more people to see is a little more important than a few having some hassles getting it on their big screen at home is all.

So, we are in agreement. I wouldn't mind if all games were available on stream, and could be purchased a la carte. Instead of paying for games I don't care about, I could buy what I want to see. For the longest time I've disliked DirecTv's hold on it, so maybe this stream thing is the first step in breaking that. But in the meantime, I do pay for it so I think I should get it.

Big argument just to end up agreeing lol

But yeah hopefully this opens up more possibilities. Those who do have ST may need to suffer another season or two of missing a game here or there before it happens. Not really fair though.

I always thought an "a la carte" style would be good. I've never lived in the Jax market (Buffalo, now Tampa) so being able to buy just your team's games would make sense.

It just drives me nuts to hear people complaining about a streaming game that was free bc it was an inconvenience for them to watch. Even though it probably added convenience to a lot more people than it hurt. You have a valid argument, JW does not IMO.

No need to get catty about it. Just watch the game on your computer. I actually enjoyed having it on my laptop. I could take a dump without missing anything.

I would prefer all games to go to free live streaming. I have great internet. And I currently have Sunday Ticket which I would drop in a heartbeat for internet streaming on yahoo or cbs or nbc or fox or ect. I could have at least 7 games streaming at once.
